Whats in Your Garage?

You see all the time that some of us have more than one bike soooo, whats in your garage? I have 3 bikes: 98 Valk Tourer I call snot. Its Jade and Green. A 2013 Triumph Rocket III Touring, black in color, POS,  and a 96 Harley Springer Softail, red in color. So, whatcha got?

Oh, and in my garqage I got the ULTIMATE bike, a '99 Valkyrie Standard. Black.

As we all know (but may not want to admit) the 99s were the best!! 97 & 98s were experimental models to work the bugs out and everything later was just copies.

AND these still have the "Made in the USA" casted in the block, which I highlighted on mine so all my HD buddies can see it better!!

What's a garage?

My shed has two valk interstates.  One leans on the wall, and the other leans on the first (bag guard rails).

My car, spousal unit's car, push mower, riding lawn mower, weed whacker and friends, my Valk, spousal unit's ST1300 that she never rides and we really need to get rid of but I'm so loathe to go down a bike.

(Hmmm, wonder if I could talk her into selling the ST and using the money for me to buy a backup Valk...  )

of course I've got the wifes Durango, my '99 IS, the daughters POS chinese scooter, lawnmower, 8 bicycles (wife has a problem about passing them up at garage sales), boxes.  that's the other thing she likes to collect 'boxes'.  every once in a while i'll throw out six or so but she somehow she'll replenish her stock of empty boxes to the point where you trip on 'em as you bring groceries into the house.  I have now idea why she likes boxes so don't ask, I just burn 'em or crush em into the recycling bin when it gets too crowded.

used to have a bunch of stuff a few yrs ago. in the pic is a 400ex, xr100, xr200, xr 400 dual sport, cx500, 600vtx shadow, and a 300 Yamaha utility quad. sold everything here in the last 3yrs. now all I have are a 280zx (its for sale) and the valk.

As soon as I brought the 1999 Valkyrie I/S home it took over the garage.   My Oldsmobile(which may have crap the transmission)is STILL pouty about that.   I've got no proof but I believe/think/postulate that the old lawn mower said or did something that Phatt Ghurl Did NOT like because I came out there one morning and the kitty corner wheels looked like they were ripped/bitten/torn/broken off.   I asked her about the carnage and she just gave me a SO WHAT shrug.   I'm thinkin the weed wacker and the hedge trimmer clued in the new lawnmower.   And a couple of tool boxes filled with 60 years some accumulation of tools and ends and odds.   I've got a medium sized metal box loaded with old nuts and bolts and washers and I've carried it around thru all my moves.   BUT more than once it has saved me a trip to the hardware store or wally wurld in the weird hours I do stuff.   Oh and those tall roll around suitcases-daughter CAN NOT seem to get rid of them. My wife's 09 Hyundai Santa Fe with 75,000 miles and bikes. Black Tourer, 98 with 140,000 miles. My 250 Reflex scooter with 33,000. My 03 ST1300 with 50,000. And my youngest son's 06 1100 Shadow Spirit with 104,000.
We like stuff that's broken in.

and my project bike...a 1980 Kawasaki 550 LTD...that is in need of some TLC...



As for 4 wheels...I have a 2007 Nissan Murano and Marcia drives a 2013 Kia Soul.

I have a 99 Tourer, a 1981 Honda 70cc scooter, a 1966 Mustang, and the wife's 2005 Impala, the beer fridge, TV and easy chair are in the garage..  All lawn mowers, weed eaters, tools and such are in the storage shed beside the garage.  My 1994 F150  is outside in the driveway.   Hoser

to be honest, too much crap really don't know what is all in there (in the summertime)  but come winter, I do find space to fit somehow the 2011 hyundai santa fe,  2012 toyota tundra, 01 Valk I/S,  snowblower, ATV snowplow blade, standing 2x4' tool rack, 2 kayaks, and the 2008 kymco people s250 scooter with mere inches to spare. 

Wife doesn't even attempt to drive the Tundra in the garage since have literally 2" to spare on the right side angled to the right and less than 12" in front and 5" in back to fit it inside while still closing the garage door.  In the summer,  I leave the tundra parked outside 3 seasons to fit the bicycles and 3 ATV's/scanoe/etc. inside.  for summertime enjoyment.

99 Valk I/S (Green/Silver),  82 Honda CB900C,  81 Honda CB650C (for sale). 73 Honda CL350, 08 Saturn Aura XR, Misc tools, parts, yard/lawn/snow removal equipment.  My 00 S10 ZR2 has been moved to the driveway for the last few years.   On occasion, and only during the snowy winter months, I have been known to move the bikes to the back of the garage and leave just enough room for the SO to get her car in the garage.....

Dust and cobwebs ! Chuck full of greasy dirty machines and tools. Not many vehicles any more, got rid of most a few years ago. Just have JoAnns Honda CR-V, my Ram, down to 2 old cars and 2 old motorbikes along with a few assorted tractors, boats, equipment.

1998 Black Tourer, 26k that I gave to me for a retirement gift past Jan. She shares the garage with my other ole gal. 73 Z1 Kaw motor #6247 bought new Mar. 73. They get along just swell because they are classics in their on right.

23 boxes of moms stuff from her apt when she died in 1993.

Console TV, and it works.

Tool box on wheels that is jammed full.      Snap-On guy inventoried it for me so as to get insurance.    Are you setting down?  I wasn't when he handed me the sheet with the total.     Total value,  $48,000 in hand tools, $60,000 in special purpose tools,  like the latest vehicle scanner, just updated it to include 2013 vehicles, and that was $5,000.    And $12,000 in misc specialty

3 ladders, 2 aluminum, 1 is an old wooden, heavy SOB.
tools, like welder, grinders, 3 air compressors.    All of the items in the last category are all functional.

3 sets of Chevy V8 Exhaust headers.

22 old tires and wheels.     9 of these tires came off of MGM, CT on a motor.   NO used motor tires.

22 cases of Mobil 1 red cap oil.
                                               These are stored for the shop.  
                                                Payment is, I need oil, I help
                                                myself.
9 cases of Valvoline Racing Oil.

Several jack stands,

Well I have had 7 Valks thru the years but only pictures of them now, How sad. I do have a 2012 bmw gs1200, 09 kaw. klr, 09 ktm 300xc, 05 yz 250, suzuki rm85, which I bought for my grandson, a couple honda 50's also for my grand kids, oh almost forgot a 02 honda rancher 4 wheeler, Yea the shop is full. Sure miss my valk, who knows might just have to get another one.
