don't know if you have seen on the news or if ya even care but MAN OH MAN is the area from hailey towards sun valley ON FIRE.. tens of thousands of acres burned, houses lost..animals burned up and evacuation notice just given for all of ketchum and sun valley.. not to mention the several other fires within a hundred miles that are WORSE.. this could be EPIC... hot and verrry dry with half the orests dead from beetle kill... 30 mph winds predicted for this afternoon.. got people I have never met living in their rvs in my pasture after having to evacuate yesterday..

we are now the #1 fire priority in the nation.. ketchum and sun valley are being evacuated.. we had 1 of 2 DC10s in the nation that drop fire retardant.. last night he was flyin in about 200 ft off the deck in a canyon and BLEW an engine.. it was right over my buddies house.. he said it sounded like a stick of dynamite and large flames blew out the rear of the engine..SOMEHOW the pilot kept the thing in the air and limped to Pocatello.. its now sittin there waiting on a new engine..but there are 4 C130's several crop dusters and several helicopters including sky cranes.. it was like watching an orchestra last nite as they were battling the blazes.. those guys ARE INCREDIBLE pilots...not to mention FEARLESS

I would think you have grateful new friends living in your pasture.
They once came and asked if they could dip their bucket in my pool. The pilot was so good.
He barely splashed any on the deck. The kids really wanted to ride in the bucket. (so did I)
They came by 4 times. It was very cool.

I think that most of us care but know that we can't do one darn thing about it.
