It appears that many recent "members" are not actually VRCC members.  Signing up to post on the message board is just that, the message board only.  I believe many folks think they are members because they signed up here.

There are quite a few members that no longer own Valks, but still frequent the site... we don't discourage that.  I doubt there are many that have never owned a Valk, unless they are interested in getting one.

Took me around the USA and a bit of Canada for over 60,000 miles.

I also see posts in the Classifieds made by names I don't recall ever seeing before. Probably signed up solely for the purpose of selling something, not sure anything is wrong with that....I guess! I know on the Naked Gold Wing (NGWClub) board, you have to have made a minimum number of posts prior to advertising anything. Probably to discourage "fly-by-nighters." Not sure that really works for more than a half dozen posts, then they're gone.

I have noticed that in the last 5 or so years, they're many posters that seldom speak of Valkyries or motorcycles for that matter when they post. I do like to hear other riders' experiences. Best part of the VRCC, IMO. KEEP 'ER SAFE OUT THERE!!

Oh, don't get me wrong. I have no problem with anyone on this board that has had or is thinking about getting one of these great bikes. I just have a suspicion that there may be a couple here that are neither and I don't have a real issue with that either. Heck, I'm an 'equal opportunity dis-agreer ' !

And I still live at the same place I did in 1997, I think I do anyway.
Have a very short memory, and sometimes also a VERY short fuse.

OH, I still own a Valkyrie Trike, but my kids ride it more than I do.  I'm having trouble currently getting a leg over the seat.   I've rode it once since it was converted to a Trike.     I don't know what the rear end ratio is but that SOB will flat out haul the mail.

On the ride I took, my son was on the Chevy Trike.      We were out in the country and could see down this road for a few miles.    We lined them up, Chevy was in left lane, and Rex said I'll pull in front of ya when I get safely past ya.

Guess what, he had to pull in behind as I walked all over him to a dollar and a dime.    Went home, well started for home, and run out of gas.     Last time someone rode it, won't mention names, but it was Rex, flipped it to reserve and forgot about filling it up.     I let him ride over the the gas station, bring me back a gallon of fuel and then we stopped at the station and filled it up.

That was when my short temper fell into place.

Millard! I am doing well, we are just working everyday and trying to get by, like most folks. I hope you and your bride are well too. I read up on here pretty regular, but haven't posting in I don't know when. I have been working on my bike and have been reading some "stuff" on here, this is still the treasure trove of the internet for Valkyrie information. As Scott pointed out you are both VRCC members.  However, your questions are precisely what I meant about folks thinking that message board membership means that they are VRCC members.  The profile on the message board, means you are a member of the message board only... it gives no information about VRCC membership.

Well, I'm relatively new here by membership accounts.  Joined in 2009.   Member #32095  Been coming here ever since and introduced 2 others that own Valks.
