The Meet In The Middle Ride... Its a GO...Labor Day Weekend... I'll bring a group up The Blue Ridge Parkway from the south Mark ( 3fan4life ) will bring a group from the north... We'll meet in the middle in West Jefferson , North Carolina....More details later

This is kinda late getting this information out for this ride so I'm flexible as to when the southern group rolls out we can do it Friday Aug. 30 and make a long nice ride out of it and over-night ( somewhere ) or we can roll Saturday morning and go straight up The Blue Ride Parkway . The parkway has a detour just south of Mt. Mitchell however thats no big deal as the detour is a pretty nice ride... I'm thinking if enough folks are interested in making a long weekend ride out of this we could all hook up in Maggie Valley , North Carolina on Friday evening Aug.30. IMO meeting in Maggie would be the best that way we can roll into ground zero to meet the northern group without having to push it to get there before dark on Saturday evening Aug. 31.... If you want to make this ride please post to this thread with thoughts / suggestions.... I'll contact the motel tomorrow and work on getting us a deal on rooms I just need a rough head count to  bargain with.... Bring It....LET'S RIDE

If you decide to go spend Friday night in Waynesboro, VA and ride the BRP with the northern group.

Atlanta is a nice track to see a race but nothing beats Bristol ...If I'm around I'll try to swing by while you're in Knoxville and score a bag or two

I'll be leaving the Knoxville, Tennessee area Friday morning 8-30. I plan to make a run through the mountains with a stop at " The Road To Nowhere "  before rolling into Maggie Valley, North Carolina that evening.

Be in Knoxville , Tennessee Friday morning 8-30 for a ride through the mountains before getting to Maggie Valley that evening. You can also just show-up in Maggie... You need to see my post on Motel Information and get a room ( Rooms are limited and this is a holiday weekend ) .
