still wondering about other drivers....

what is going on between the ears? I've seen the subject of my musings in my neighborhood before always early in the morn while i'm on my way to work, maybe they are too. they drive an older mini van with a wheel chair lift in the back. they always pull up to the stop sign a block before the highway and stop wait for 10 seconds and then go even if they have the right of way they repeat the pause at the next stop sign a block up.

the other shoe dropped this morning, they pulled up to the stop sign on the highway and waited. I didn't think much of it as there was headlights coming, the van waited the appropriate time (in thier view) and then pulled out turning right.

with a screeching of tires traffic heading south nearly hit the dufus, yup they pulled out right in front of oncoming traffic

I don't know if they are young, old or just challenged but someone somewhere this morning had to pry their but off the driver seat

 A friend and I rode our bikes one day to a flea market a hundred or so miles away. When we were leaving we were trying to get out of the parking lot onto a really busy street and were waiting behind a pickup truck with a man, woman and two kids in it. We sat for about 10 minutes waiting for a break in traffic when all of a sudden the guy driving the pickup pulled out right in front of a car....and got t-boned. No visible reason for him to have done that....he just did it.

I wonder about some drivers every single day. It amazes me that there aren't more accidents.

It happened again today while on my bicycle ride.  A car pulls up to an intersection (for a left turn) but makes an initial turn as if they are planning on turning right.  I mean a hard right gesture, so hard that when the way is clear for their left turn it is a very hard maneuver.  I just don't get it, and there are several around here that do this.  Drives me crazy since its a flashing red so it can take quite a long time to have both lanes clear.  when someone (like me) who is behind said driving challenged individual could go on by and make a right turn very easily except a car is blocking the way so they can make this horrendous sweeping left turn for an unknown reason.

Same thing for these folks that have to quickly swing onto the right shoulder to slowly turn left into their driveway.

I went for a 300+ mile ride with a fellow valk rider friend yesterday.We had no problems until we parted ways to go home. In the forested mountains I thought I seen people in the shadows ahead of me and slowed down to find four cows blocking the road.Hitting the brakes hard somehow I hit the kill switch and died right in the middle of them.I told the head cow to take it easy and left slowly.Later on it was deer in the road. To top it off one mile from home an A--hole on the cell phone  in a pickup in front of me blew thru two stop signs without slowing down.I'm lucky that he was in front.

I stopped wondering. Now I just expect everybody to drive like an idiot. I haven't been disappointed either!

My bike weighs a thousand (ish) pounds.  My car 2000 (ish) and my work truck 66,000 (ish)  and I drive them all like everyone is trying to kill me.....
