Looks OK except for those fugly stick-on radiators all over the crash bars.  I can't see how it will be less than a broiler behind them where the rider's legs will be roasting.

Actually kinda interesting... Not something I'd go after, but these Harleys move from the realm of "If someone gave me one I'd immediately sell it" to the realm of "If someone gave me one I might keep it around for short trips around town just for a change of pace.".

Never ask a geek 'Why?',just nod your head and slowly back away...

This article has no details about the water cooled engine design or performance.
Guess I'll go google.

I like Harleys and Harley riders that I know. I think they need to go
with watercooled. But...

You beat me to it. I was scrolling down to paste that line in when I saw yours.

Well, at least it is a step forward. It's still a V-twin, and I wouldn't buy a Honda V-twin. I like multi-cylendar bikes, and two is just not smooth enough for me :cooldude:

So, it's water cooled and it's air cooled.  Seems like a band-aid to me.  But maybe it's setup to retrofit older models with only a few minor modifications. Just don't like the obvious (to me) "stuck on" look.

Their big motors (103 and 110) finally make power... and heat... if the "stuck on" watercooling
keeps them from overheating, while retaining all that "harley-style" that their riders like,
seems like a good thing. I think harley riders would hate no-fin-cylinders and no-shake-at-the-stoplight
bikes, but everyone likes performance and no overheating...

I think my harley had, like, 65 horsepower  :coolsmiley:

Are they still using a single pin engine ?  Kinda like putting lipstick on a pig isn't it ?

The vrod has always been watercooled. Thats why it performs so well. This watercooled heads is a good step in the right direction. But they discontinued their best looking bikes.  Id buy an indian before a new hd without the roadglide...

Momz

The cylinder heads are liquid cooled but, the cylinders themselves are still air-cooled. Very similar to the now defunct Kawasaki VN2000s.

But these are not the first liquid cooled HDs,.....V-Rods are liquid cooled and have been since the 2001 introduction. I've also heard lots of rumors that that the V-Rods are expected to be discontinued.

ALWAYS QUESTION AUTHORITY!

Not my cup of tea but I admire that they are listening to their "focus groups" and stepping up new product development.
The F6B is not my cup of tea and I don't want to go back to a Goldwing.  Now if Honda would listen to this focus group and come out with a new Valkyrie without all the Tupperware, add ABS,and lots of chrome before all of the Valkyries die. (20-30 years) :D
