Hi All,  great to be here and find this community.  I recently bought a '99 Valkyrie Standard and seem to have gotten a flat in my rear tire.  Its running old OEM Dunlops from the previous owner so I decided to purchase some Avon Cobras based on this site's feedback.  As it so happens, motorcycle-superstore.com screwed up my order and is sending me an H rated rear tire and a V rated front tire.  (extra $25 bucks to boot).  I could delay the order and get them exchanged, but I have a road trip scheduled for this upcoming weekend, so I have to eat the extra cost.

Question is, will I run into any problems by running tires with 2 different speed ratings?  I don't really intend to test the threshold, i'm just worried about handling and stability.

Thanks!

No expert here.  But you should be just fine. Come to think of it, my Avons Cobras have different speed ratting and they handle great.

The H rating is for a max speed of 130 MPH, the V rating max is 149 MPH.

Hopefully you won't be going fast enough to test the ratings...you will be fine.

Have a safe trip!!!!
