Speaking of our Federal Government, it was just reported that an official in Homeland Security that is responsible for procuring weapons and ammo is running a web site declairing war on white people.  How can someone like this have a position like this or even a government job at all???  It was reported that the other workers in his department was afraid of him. I think it's repugnant, but I still stand behind the 1st amendment, even when it's something as disgusting as this. He's within his rights to say the things he says and keep his job, no matter how insane it seems to us.

Sorry, disagree with you on this one.  He should NOT keep his job.  He signed agreement to have ethics, and did not.  There was a 1st amendment lawyer on tv, said he has fought MANY 1st amendment cases.  But, he said in this case the man crossed the line, and he would decline to take the case, as he was wrong, and will be fired.

It would be like a cop, going online, and telling people how to rob banks.  Or, how to kill someone, and keep it secret.  It crosses the line.

There are limits to the first amendment.

How are we to trust our lives, to someone who is advocating KILLING us?  I would not, and don't, trust that he will do his job.
