Found out a couple of things today

I ran 201 miles and DID NOT have to hit reserve.  She took 5.681 gallons which gave me 35.381 M P G.  Not to shabby. Ran a P G R mission today and on the mission we didn't get over 60 M P H. And it was a tad hot today-low 90s and I have the raccoon eyes again.  And I found out that a 12 pak of Heiniken will stand upright in my trunk.  And I wuz able to close the lid. Bottles-NOT cans.  IF I didn't have my gloves and my shades and my G P S(Rand McNally road atlas)in there could have MAYBE got 2 12 paks in there.  We said a prayer today on that P G R mission for that War II vet and the young man from Canada.  RIDE SAFE.

KARMA...it goes a long way.  You are a good man to do those missions. 
I guess I'll have to improve myself to get that kind of mileage.  I only get 130 mile, tops.

Best mileage I have ever got was on a PGR escourt. I was sure I would go on reserve and possibly need to stop for fuel before we reached our destination. After we completed our mission rode acrossed the street and filled up 4.2 gal. Coming home went on reserve at 125 miles. Thanks for riding with PGR.

Thanks to both ya'll for the kind words about riding P G R missions. Don't want this to sound like i'm beating my chest-I'M NOT-don't want it to sound self serving-NOT. Even though i'm divorced again and my youngest is in college and I could crawl in a corner and suck my thumb-I just REFUSE to get myself down. The LORD has truly blessed me and I wore a uniform a long time ago and it's something that I enjoy doing as long as I am capable of doing it. And when a family member of the deceased walks up to you-shakes your hand-and says-thanks for standing for my Dad-Brother-Uncle-Gramps-Best Friend-or just says a simple-thank you for riding for us-well the firkin gnats found my puter desk-again. I've tried the V F W the American Legion and the Amvets. The absolute BEST FIT for me at this point in time is P G R. Hijacking my own thread-is that possible??  RIDE SAFE.
