prescription shooting glasses, or else some shooting glasses that will fit over my regular glasses......

I went to Wilson Shoals WMA Range.....took one of those new frames to try it out......worked like a charm.....very easy set up and take down.....

I placed the target out about 50'......much farther than I'd normally be practicing at.....which is some where around 20ft.....seems I read somewhere that most encounters where you'd be protecting yourself from a threat would be between 7-10ft??.....anyways......I was more interested in seeing if my target holder would hold up.....I used a Weaver stance for most of the time.....





They've got a nice covered range with a Range Master for everyone's safety.....




This was the target for my little .22 Revolver.....the little sister to the .44 Magnum




This target was for my Llama full 5" .45 Auto......it's a sweet shooting gun.....but obviously I needing to be holding 2-3" high.....




This target was for my .44 Magnum.....also made by Llama....Used Magnum rounds and then I used a few .44 Special rounds in it......I didn't shoot it as much to conserve that expensive ammo.....





This was the target for my Kahr CW45.........it shoots around 6" low at 50 ft.....it's not meant to be a target pistol.....I use it for concealed carry....it'd be a tighter grouping at my normal 7 yd practice distance......well, all of them would......

Not a much better way to blow 50 bucks on up for a few hours of tinkering. 

If I shoot the 12 gauge or 30-06, I don't usually go threw more than 10 rounds but that is of course more accurate with a rifle sometimes just shoot 4-6 rounds is all just to make sure the hits are consistent.  Besides, shooting more than 10 rounds in a 12 gauge slug starts to hurt the old shoulder.

Just brings back a memory when 12 ga was mentioned. I go through quite a bit of 12 ga. and try to equal it out between skeet and trap, but, I'm more of a skeet shooter. Anyway, I get side-tracked easily, back to the original story. Years ago when I decided to stick a scope on the deer gun [1100] I was too lazy to drag out the table [ back yard bullet stop] so I just set the gun across the hood of the truck, new truck too. I blew a hole through the hood and right front fender. One of the most expensive sighting-in sessions I can ever remember. Didn't really consider how much lower the barrel was compared to the scope and that the truck wasn't sitting level. I still wonder at times whether that was a really big brain-fart or just really stupid. I tend to side with stupid.

Stupid brain fart or brain fart ended in stupid??  Something telling me you DO NOT use the hood of the truck no mo!!  RIDE SAFE.

Everything is low and tending left. It aint the pistols.

You are (85% guess) squeezing your whole hand, and need to work on the trigger control. There might be some push anticipating recoil to.
Anyway, take that Llama, and dry fire the snot out of it at a dot on the wall, thinking about follow through. Make sure your sights are in the same place before and after.
When you get to the range, slow down, one at a time.
