Installation front wheel. New tire.

I am putting on Bridgestone Exedra tire.. not everyone like Bridgestone, but I'll give it a try.
I don't do real highway riding here, normal speed is 50-60 mph.

According to manual, the allen size on axel is 17 mm, but my 17 was too big. Some grinding fixed it though.

Anyway, my question is, why are the pinch bolt ( left side) to be tighten  before I tighten the axel nut?  ( according to manual)

could be, but there is an 17 mm allen in the end, so it's not needed.
And, I would be more certain the axel was fully in if I tighten the axel bolt first..

You can tighten the axle before the left pinch bolts, but (on a standard anyway) if you let the axle spin too much the speedometer cable could get damaged. 

PS. the allen hole in your axle was "peened" over some by the use of a hammer to drive the axle in previously.  I hope you ground the end of the axle some instead of ruining the 17mm driver.

Mission accomplished ;)
New tire is very smooth.... ( ain't they all when new ;)  )

I learned it is very important to get the axel fully, 100% in, to get the wheel centered and brake calipters on right place.  Even though pinch bolts were completely losen, the axel needed some "violence" to get to place.

Just curious, did you see this little machine mark on your front axle??

Any violence to the hex end of an axle should be done with a rubber mallet or steel using a 2x4 or other wooden item betwixt the hammer and the axle. It took me over an hour with the Dremmel to put my rear axle into conformance with the allen wrench. I could see the dents the steel hammer made long, long ago. Now it's an easy job for one person to remove/install the rear wheel.

Hmmm...admit I did not think of it....
It's not mention in the manual , is it?
Guess that mark is to be lined up on the outer side of the opening,,
I'll check getting home tonight.....
