Coming off of 4 neck surgeries Peyton came back last year to have the second best year of his career.  He finished second in MVP voting, but unfortunately fell short yet again in the playoffs  :'(

Last night he threw for 7 touchdowns with no picks and 462 yards against the defending Super Bowl champions and the team that knocked the Broncos out of the playoffs.

I think he can still play a little bit, what do you say The Anvil?  :2funny:

I just hope he can stay healthy and Denver can make a better run this year.

I think bellichec shouldn't have let his wide receiver go. Those 2 look like they are gonna kick butt this year.

Well, they don't suck, but Peyton WILL choke if they face a decent team in the playoffs. It's just what Peyton does.

Bill Belichick is a great head coach. Maybe the best ever. Bill Belichick the GM? Average to below average. He messed with Welker to the point where he was willing to take less money (though not much less) to play elsewhere.

Sorry....that guy is far from being the best NFL coach ever. The best don't have to cheat.

Did you see who they played. Last years Champs. I think they played a decent team. I would say Payton still has it. I would have liked to see him stay with the Colts but I am happy he did so good. Besides Payton does not throw a temper tantrum when he messes up like Brady. Oh and what Xtracho. The best coaches DONT have to cheat. Belichick may be a decent coach but he a worthless loser. When he looses he just goes back to the locker room and pouts like a little girl. Wont even go on the field and shake the winning coaches hand like a TRUE gentleman..... Oh and I have two Favorite teams. The Colts, and any team that plays the Patriots......

We're still hanging our hat on spygate, huh? A practice that many former coaches said that everyone does?  Okay, if it helps you sleep at night.

Yes, I saw who they played; a gutted Ravens team. Look at this year's Raven's team vs. last year's Raven's team. They lost some of their best players last year (particularly on defense) and they've got rookies all over the place. Baltimore is probably going 8 and 8 this year.

I'm not saying Denver sucks. They'll have a terrific regular season, but Peyton will do what Peyton always does; gag it away when it counts most. His one Superbowl came the year that they played a terrible Chicago Bears team. If it weren't for that he'd still be the ringless wonderboy.

Well, I'm not one to give a QB all the credit or blame for a team's record but, the QB does have a significant impact on how the season goes.   I personally believe a strong defense will counter any hotshot QB the vast majority of time.  But, as a QB, Peyton has had a tremendous career and appears to be as good now as he has ever been.   As far as teams go, I've never been a Bronco's fan but, that could change.   But, the quoted post shows your bias.   The Bears did not get into that game being "terrible".   BTW, I'm not a Bears fan either.   My team is traditionally at the bottom of the league but, the Chiefs are too cheap to buy any real talent like Manning.

You have to be a terrible team to make it to the super bowl. HMM. Got me on that one. If they were so terrible how did they ever make it to the big game..huh..? Oh it must have been that every NFC team must have been worse that year. Yea that's it....

Funny thing, let's justify cheating because everyone does it. But thanks for proving that he's not the best ever, just another coach that does what everyone else does.

speaking from experience, although not on NFL level, any team can beat the other team anyday of the week period.  As well,  not one person makes a team period.

Manning is a great QB and the naysayers can say all they want about choking in the big one, it is a game and anyone who thinks the QB has a tendency to choke in the big game, I don't believe that is true at all.  Things happen and just circumstance is all.

Look at Brett Favre,  the gunslinger,  he threw up some hail merry's almost every single game.  He still won a few championships.  Gotta admit, back in the day, he was surely fun to watch play.

We had a high school team destined to win state.  We lost the first 3 pre-season games and should have won easily.  We also lost in sectionals to a much less powerful and talented team running up over 300+ rushing yards to their under 100 total yards.  Face it,   _hit happens thru NO fault of ONLY one person.  The old saying of there is NO I in TEAM holds true.

I believe he only won one championship, but he was fun to watch.

Can't blame last year's playoff loss on Peyton.  Denver's secondary got torched at some very inopportune times, like with the clock running down at the end of regulation!

It seems to me Brady and the wonderful Patriots got beat at home last year by the Ravens as well

I haven't followed Football since 1954.

49ers used to be my team.       I had to work the Stadium, (Coach & attendants) at home.      That was when my Patrol lines included San Francisco.    Was that ever tough duty.       LOL.     Left SF in 1960 and never followed football after that.

Even played 4 years varsity in high school.

Funny that. Have not got a clue who anointed them Americas team UNLESS it was the publicity department of the boyz themselves. Americas team indeed.  :uglystupid2: Ah well-the season is young the insults and the bets will fly and if the boyz end up sub .400-  :2funny: ;D :cooldude: RIDE SAFE.

He's another one who threw up on his shoes at the worst possible time. Look at his TD to INT ratio. It's terrible.

And the Patriots lost to the Ravens last year because the Ravens defense was great. But they've lost a lot of their best veterans on defense. They're just not the same team this year.

Oh, and Flacco was playing great post-season football. 11TD's NO INT's. See how that works?  ;) I mean certainly not all losses are the QB's fault, but every offensive play goes through the QB and it is a passing league now. The read-option's sudden popularity only puts MORE emphasis on the QB.
