Looks like he retired and now collects a pension. His pension he receives is probably close to $90,000 per year.  By his age, he probably has more than 20 years in and was just padding his pension.  You get full pension after 20 years for fire and police.

Officer Eugen Holm retired in lieu of being fired. This was confirmed by an Internal Affairs investigator.
Officer Holm was facing Internal Affairs charges for: (1) Not reporting an accident ( Metro Policy Manual 5103.29), (2) Wrongful interaction with the public (for being discourteous and rude, Metro Policy Manual 4/102.12), and (3) Conduct Unbecoming an Officer (intimidation, Civil Service Rule 510-2). We have seen the same scenario in both Dearborn and Dearborn Hts. for a period of several years back in the late seventies and early eighties.

A Dearborn LEO finally spoke up and reported it to the local newspapers and TV media. He was fired on trumped up charges, such as righting "european sevens" and writing reports that were "too detailed".

He now is an MRF, AMA, and ABATE member, a former ABATE board member, a certified MSF rider and ATV coach, as well as teaching the HD "Riders Edge" training. He also is an electrician during the winter months and warns other motorcyclists of police abuses during ABATE and MRF seminars.
