Whether they are muslims or christians, AMERICANS are allowed to gather.  And lets get real...the MAMAF has something like 140 likes on their webpage while the bikers have around 56,000 likes:

From the link you gave: "At the time of this report, the Million American March Against Fear (MAMAF) had garnered 141 “likes” on Facebook, and the 2 Million Bikers to DC had gained 56,284"

As an American, I am not scared of folks gathering peacefully in dc.  I am a little worried about folks who lump ALL muslims together and labels them terrorists

Yes, but if something does go wrong, there is no place more deserving than DC.

It's only 17 miles for me to ride there.   I'm not going.... I don't visit people's republics anymore.

I didn't read that? where does he lump all muslims as terrorists?

I am a little worried at the willingness of some folks to look the other way and not denounce the religion of peace because they are less the peaceful. or how they treat their women.
some musilms are fine upstanding citizens here in America, others want to march on our nations capital on the anniversary of the attack we ALL remember and the wounds have barely healed.

tell me it's not a slap in our face, to pick THAT date out of 364 others in the year

I never once "lumped" anyone together nor said anything about Facebook likes but I can't help the Million Muslim March, now changed to MAMAF, only got 141 likes.

Yes,  American soldiers died and shed their blood to give these people the freedom and the very right to gather for this protest, not to mention having the  audacity wanting to build mosques at ground zero and now this. This is a Slap in the face to all  true Americans and especially for the families of the 3,000 dead!!! I will say that all the 19 terrorists were Islamic and Not Christian or Jews!!

What really disturbs me is that a permit was granted to the Muslims and not the American bikers.  I saw nothing that gave a reason for this action. Or lack of action.

IF you are a MUSLIM and IF you practice the tenants of your religion then you are NOT a peaceful person. But if you are peaceful and don't practice all the things the Koran tells you to do then the question is are you really a Muslim? Or are you following the tenants of your religion and lying and subverting the US to conform it to Muslim rule? It does not go both ways just like Christians who say they are Christians and dont follow the Bible.

We all might as well get used to Muslims commemorating 9/11. It's like a religious holiday. Last year it was Benghazi....this year it's D.C. Next year and thereafter there will be celebrations as well.

Sink to their level? Sorry you have such a low opinion of people that are riding to remember those that died and continue to die. Your post is equally offensive as the one you went off on. Are those bikers pissed? Damn right they are after a group of Muslims picks this day, of all days, to have their march. Not to mention the Muslim permit was fast tracked while the bikers were denied. Does that mean that the bikers intend to confront them when they arrive? Nope...the national organization that put the ride together vehemently opposes any confrontation.

But thanks for showing me and others that you support the rights of the Muslims to march, but think that thousands of bikers traveling on their own dime to D.C. is sinking to some arbitrary level that you feel is below standards for a peaceful protest. Pretty poor assumption on your part.

You pay a lot of lip service to the Constitution and in your very next breath spit on it by making such naive, ill thought comments that the exercising of a 1A right is sinking  "to their level."

Well played sir.

1) The government tells us NOT TO JUDGE ALL MUSLIMS because of a FEW lunatics.

2) The government ENCOURAGES US TO JUDGE ALL GUN OWNERS.....because of a FEW lunatics.

Oftentimes lately, two plus two does not equal four......especially if the current Administration has anything to do with it.

It's not the showing up, it's the implied threat of violence. You're showing up with an attitude and many of these macho ding-dongs will be looking for a fight. We both know it.

I support the right of all Americans to assemble peacefully because I actually support the principals this country was founded on. I do not supplement them or replace them with my personal ideas regarding right and wrong.

So go ahead and go. But know that you're giving them what they want.

I am with you Sir.

Myself, I find it EXTREMELY offensive that anybody (most especially a fellow American) preaches tolerance.......to the most tolerant nation to have ever existed on the face of planet earth!

It should be PROFOUNDLY obvious to all, that our enemies are using our tolerance against us.......which is fine, as long as we REALIZE it........and NOT stomach Leftists tellin' us we are not tolerant enough!!

Xtracho

Ding dongs? As the greatest President that ever lived once quipped, "There you go again." An overwhelming number of those traveling to DC are vets. Tell you what....keep your epithets to yourself. The people I know that are on the road are riding specifically for the reasons I mentioned earlier. Most of them are hard working people that sacrificed to make this trip. Easy to sit there and pigeonhole them all as "macho ding dongs."

My opinion of your previous comments still stands....and the more you type the more it's reinforced.

I don't really see it as being about "tolerance" so much as honoring the principals. As soon as you forget those it can be any group that falls under the suspicious eye of another. It's one thing to be vigilant. It's another to be paranoid. Paranoia leads to irrational and unpredictable behavior.

Remember the Twilight Zone episode The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street? Remember the plot? In this scenario, who are the aliens watching from above sowing chaos through fear and paranoia?

"They" have every right to have a rally on 9/11, and we have every right to point out how extremely distasteful and repugnant that is. *Shrug*. Goes both ways.

We also have the right to point out that if even more tolerance is what they're seeking, they sure are going about it in an odd way.

Those that are structuring the gov have to preach tolerance and acceptance otherwise how are we going to be combined into one religion and one world gov. This is the plan, this is the goal, remember Coexisist  and other campaigns to combine all the  religions into one. I am very proud that the bikers have the guts to do this. I am sure that there are those that are just way upset that the plans they had for this Muslim event are not what they wanted it to be. My hope is we will still be a nation of gov by and for the people, not people by and for the government.

Let me see... it would be worse for the bikers to be given a permit so they could ride, unimpeded, through DC and be done in a couple of hours vs. denying them the permits and their ride being extended to several hours due to barriers such as red lights, stop signs, and pedestrians? Gotcha!  :uglystupid2:

The underlying reason behind granting the Muslims the permit rests at the White House. And I would venture to say that the underlying reason for denying the permit to the bikers rests there as well.

Sooo Anvil. Lets try this scenario. What say there was a military funeral in Arlington and the Westboro Baptist Church wanted to protest and needed a permit and were granted one. But when the Patriot Guard Riders ask for a permit it is denied. Would this be right? I think not.

To me its the same thing. The only reason these Muslims want to protest on THAT day is push their agenda in our faces just like the WBC assholes.

So if anyone from here wants to join this ride would that make them a "ding dong" as you put it?

cookiedough

Not to change subject, but have only met and talked to one muslim and he was originally from Iraq. Work hired him as a seasonal last year and unfortunately he will be back within a few more weeks.  To me, he seems like a somewhat harmless, o.k. guy (loose that term very loosely) although annoying as all heck.  However, his viewpoints on what should be eaten and how he treats ALL women in general will NOT be tolerated by ME.  He told me I should not eat pork of any kind so I brought pork chops to work the next night, the next night after that some bacon and offered him a bite or two.  That same week he hit on all women in the office even texting one huge, very heavy set 50 year old,  telling her he likes women of all shapes and sizes (referring to her weight) and has to have several women and would (being serious here) like to F her after work and would like to hook up.  He even hit on and talked to a married woman, although attractive, with 4 kids nearly daily in the office right next to me.  The woman told him he is married to an ex-marine and can shoot straight.  He didn't bug her much after that one.

Not judging all muslims by this, but like I told him, 'hey sand monkey,  go back to Iraq where you belong'.    I for one won't put up with such beliefs and he has a right to believe in what he wants, but when he expresses and openly talks about his beliefs on women and food, etc. and tries to change me and others at work,  he better be walking the other way.  He may be packin' heat after work and he better, otherwise he won't last too long.  I'm sure the other guys in the warehouse will be glad to join me if the need arised.  Yet another reason to practice concealed carry at all times, you never know when a psycho will be pulling out a knife or gun on you.

If I said that stuff as an American white worker to fellow ladies in the office,  I would have been fired, why not him?  Don't get that at all.  Just because he is black and a muslim, he can get away with it since he is a minority?  The 2 supervisors know it happened yet they choose to turn the cheek and let is slide since don't want to get involved.

Delete my rant posting if want to, but I try to treat everyone new the same as everyone else upfront anyways and to not judge people by racial beliefs, etc.,  but things like this really tick me off.

On the other hand you have Muslims who behead at random, stone women for getting raped, burn people alive and fly planes into skyscrapers killing thousands of innocent men women and children.
In that worse case scenario who would  you give a permit to?

Then if you lump every one together on the good side you have the peace loving Muslims who pick September 11 to commemorate whatever.
Then you have a bunch of patriots who happen to ride motorcycles who pick September 11 to honor those who have served and fallen for their country, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
In that case who would you give the permit to?
All over this country there has been a big movement for separation of church and state.  What happened to that here?   Is it because Muslims are not a religion?  If they aren't a religion what are they?
If Washington is going to bow to one religion then they had better start bowing to all religions. This Christmas I guess we are going to see mangers and crosses in the white house and all of the state capitols, public schools and buildings.
Hurray!! Washington is letting religion back into government.  That includes Christians too!
In this age of political correctness we didn't want to offend any religion but have you noticed the the Christians are offended?
Sorry for the editorial,  I see things differently than a lot of people on this forum.  I don't believe in God and in saying so a lot of people here may think less of me but I stand behind these people because it's right and they are my brothers and sisters on two wheels.

And I M H O-THAT is their game plan-he can get away with it because he is a minority and before you know it they are in charge. I will now exit stage left and put on my fire suit. RIDE SAFE.
