My evening TV entertainment was interrupted by the President's address.

WHY is he the only one I can recall who gives these talks without the American flag in the background? His backdrop was an empty hallway.

I don't understand the reasoning here.......

I just can't figure it out ... anyone else would be standing in front of the flag if only to accentuate the fact that HE'S the one in charge of the US.

When he was first elected, I decided to hurry up and put in that flag pole I'd been wanting, before it became illegal.
