What are your top 10 songs to ride to?

Do you have a different list when cruising compared to when your dragging the pegs?

Anything by Cactus.....

Cactus - Let Me Swim
I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

czuch

"In the mood"
The beat just goes with riding.
Aot of guys with burn marks, gnarly scars and funny twitches ask why I spend so much on safety gear

Don't got no "tunes". That's why I ride, to get away from all that stuff. :crazy2:

cookiedough

Too many to list, but a lot of AC/DC, Bon Jovi, 38 special, and Def Leppard, to name a few.

The Anvil

Anything by Clutch. Maybe the whole Blast Tyrant album.
Boxer rebellion, the Holy Child. They all pay their rent.
But none together can testify to the rhythm of a road well bent.
Saddles and zip codes, passports and gates, the Jones' keep.
In August the water is trickling, in April it's furious deep.

1997 Valk Standard, Red and White.

I have an ancient MP 3 player that I used for the start of most of my major road trips for the last 10 years, going to InZane, DOTS, Covered Bridge Ride, etc..  Had sort of a ritual to start each trip

The first few songs are a must:

1. China Grove -  Doobies

2. Rockin' Down the Highway- Doobies

3. Let if Roll Down the Highway -  BTO

4. Free Ride - Edgar Winter

5. Eastbound and Down - from Smokey and the Bandit

6.  Call me the Breeze -  the live version from Skynyrd with Charlie Daniels on fiddle...

By the time I got to number 6,  I was beginning to unwind and shake out the cobwebs looking forward to a great road trip and leaving the office behind.
It's not WHAT you ride....it's  THAT you ride!

Eagles?

Really?
Life is not a journey to the grave with the expectation of arriving in one pretty, well preserved piece but, to be skidded into broadside at full speed, battered, bruised, and thoroughly used up, having poked the grim reaper in the eye shouting "GERONIMO"

One of my all time favorites for riding - but you have to be careful, as this song seems to somehow cause the muscles in your right wrist to contract as the song "builds"....

Judas Priest - Turbo Lover

:police: :D

Judas Priest - Turbo Lover

I'm kinda surprised there are no DOORS songs on anyone's list; LA Woman, Roadhouse Blues, Riders in the Storm, Born to Be Wild just to name a few. Then there's:

Little Feat - Highway [classic] or Triple Face Boogie
Lynyrd Skynyrd - I Know a Little
Billy Idol - White Wedding
Jimmy Smith - Only in it for the Money
John Prine - Ain't Hurtin Nobody
Mark Knopfler & Sonny Landreth - Gravity Train
Sammy Hagar - I Can't Drive 55
Tina Turner - Better Be Good to Me

and lots of Rolling Stones stuff or Stevie Ray Vaughn

The first step in getting somewhere is deciding that you are not going to stay where you are.
