True, but anymore... how many people from Dallas are there on the Dallas Cowboys? Or how many people from Manchester are in Manchester United? Or from New York on the New York Yankees? Or.... well, ya' get the point...

I know, I know. Just a hyperbole check.

As for Man U - who cares. Football (soccer) is nearly as boring as cricket.

That was the final proof that you have walked away from your Britishness and are fully an American now... ;)

I was in the UK during the 1990 World Cup and.... well... your current stance on Football was not common in Basildon at the time...

Baseball is nearly as boring as cricket.

Football (US) is really boring with only 10 to 13 minutes of actual play in the average NFL game.

Now if you wanna talk real ball games.

Rugby Union, Rugby Leauge, Australian Rules, Gaelic Football and Hurling,

czuch

Could be a quest.
I'm actually a PBR or Schlitz, Michelob Amber Bock type. Tastes more like beer to me.
They had kegs-o-MAB for 39.99, they last about 6 mos in my fridge.
Cool, thing about a keg is that as long as the bottom of the glass dosent get dry, you're still on you're first beer.

Agreed 100%! If New Zealand is playing Rugby it's worth watching just to see the All Blacks do the Haka!

Your analogies fit way too loosley.  I would have gone with the New York Giants and New York Jets palying in New Jersey!

Well heck, going by that, the Dallas Cowboys were really only the Dallas Cowboys from 1960 - 1971, then they were the Irving Cowboys from 1971 - 2008, and are now the Arlington Cowboys...

But at least they're in the same state and suburbs of Dallas!  New Jersey is NOT a suburb of New York.  New York has only one football team, IMO, the Buffalo Bills.

This one is just my pet peeve.  How many states do you have to move across before you change the name?  When the basketball NY Nets moved, to the same sports complex at the Giants and Jets, thay called themselves NJ, and now that they moved to Booklyn, they changed the name again.

Doesn't make a difference anyway.  I'll never fork over the money they want for a seat, and then pay tolls and gas to go watch them in the cold, in another state.

Oss

so if I score 2 tix for sunday and ask you to come if you pay the gas you will pass  ?

Speaking as someone very detached from the whole area, I definitely see NJ as a suburb of NY... Not saying that to be offensive, but I really see 'em as kinda one and the same.
