VRCC Message board financing, My observations and opinions

The issue of VRCC Message board financing by VRCC members has been brought up by members every time sponsorship has faltered.
The first time I remember was when Lamont split and Hal followed him.
Each time, the VRCC owner / admins rejected the members offer to help.
I suspect it was because of the golden rule "He who has the gold makes the rules."
Just look at the current frap about Google Adsense golden rule.
If a membership fee is imposed, there will likely be frappes about other issues like "I don't want my tax dollars being used to pay for abortions." LOL
One alternative, is to sell vapor ware for support with the clause that it doesn't entitle the purchaser to any say about how the money is used.
Or maybe sell sponsorship slots based on price per day and the sponsor gets to choose a message for each day they pay. LOL
