Sturgis WEST a.k.a. Virginia City

Had a nice little 400 mile day trip last Saturday to see the Street Vibrations held in 3-4 cities in Nevada.....Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Virginia City. This is my first time in Virginia City and has to the biggest spectacle, the other cities are more commercial with vendors......I can't possibly be accurate in guessing the number of bikes lining both sides of the street for maybe a half mile....maybe 30,000 and 50,000 people....just a WAG......

The people are covering the bikes and are staying behind the white line painted on the street to assure  access up and down the street.  The cops walked the double yellow line to loosely enforce the flashing laws........on a bike OK, in a car"indecent exposure"

I love the ride up to and down from Virginia City when there is a lot less traffic in the area.  The six mile canyon route is not to be missed.

Went to Virgin city in 2013 on our way from San Fran to Sturgis via Highway 50, loved the place, but man was it hot. Two days before we were in the middle of our Winter....man it was awesome..Next stop was Austin in NV what a fantastic little town...loved it loved it loved it   Then North Idaho Falls I think it was, on the way at 85MPH we was passed by a couple of 18 wheelers...we struggled to keep up on the bikes we was on...fantastic day...
