Things are really scarey when Putin makes more sense than an American President.

With all the talk about Syria and Obama wanting to attack them after chemical weapons were used, I found this article very interesting and it seems to make sense.  I think Putin has a better understanding of the Middle East than our President, not that I am a Putin fan, but this article does make more sense.  I have no trust whatsoever in Obama or most of the leadership we have in Washington now.  Here is the article.  What do you think?

My dog has a better understanding of the Middle East than our current POTUS.

NO-ONE in their "RIGHT" mind would.

So... you think a pandering whore like Vladimir Putin has outfoxed our President?

Putin is doing this precisely because he has been stymied in many other different ways.

Putin talks "international law" while exploiting every opening, and blocking each and every reasonable security council effort if not in Russia's favor... and there have been dozens... hundreds... over the years.

Your hatred of Obama is so great you'd rather support Putin, a dictator, over Obama, because of a few words from a guy that would slit your throat if he could get away with it?

Fact is, Obama beat Putin in the international game.  Obama is way ahead of Putin in the middle east and this is his reaction... trying to get the rubes in the USA to condemn the actions of Obama.  And you folks have bought into it, hook, line and sinker.

Things really have turned upside down when Americans start quoting Russian Ex-KGB colonels against their own elected President . . . If you live long enough, you get to see all kinds of things.   :D

Guys, if you read what I wrote, I said, I am not a Putin fan, nor have I ever been.  I was simply stating this article made more sense than the nonsense I keep hearing out of Washington.  Obama has beaten no one.  He is an egotistical imbecile on just about all matters, as far as I am concerned.

Maybe because our "own elected president" has done more to hurt our own country than this Putin guy ever did

So... you think a pandering whore like Vladimir Putin has outfoxed our President?

Yes. Or perhaps it's more a case of Obama outfoxing himself. Either way, it was a miscalculation that led to embarrasment that makes this administration look amateurish.

I also voted for Obama, twice actually. I have even defended him on some issues to varying degrees (see Obamacare). So I am not prone to react negatively to everything he does. But I WILL call it like I see it and that's how I see it.

What's sad though is the shameful joy that some take in seeing their country diminished because they hate the guy in the White House.

P.S. These are the same people who don't mind damaging the country with a shutdown because f**k the country, it's all about THEM.

NOT a joy of diminished country.  I read them as simply saying Putin outfoxed the Pres.  For a couple weeks,  it really showed that the Pres knew not what he was doing.

And, to say the people who oppose Obamacare WANT to damage the country?  We want to HELP the country.  We believe that Obamacare is, and will continue to, drag down the country.  We want to SAVE the country.

It is certainly NOT "f**k the country".  It is LOVE of country that motivates.

We disagree on this.  But please, do not attack with false motivations.

This is really cool.  Evidently, some Americans think that the Russian President is "telling it like it is" to the American people because . . . . why?

a) He knows a heckuva lot more than them or their elected representatives ever will.
b) President Obama can't even remember correctly where he was born so how can we trust him anyway?
c) The KGB secretly works for the benefit of the USA
d) The Russian geo-politcal agenda is a compassionate and realistic view of the world for most Americans especially -- Tea Partiers who hate the POTUS for whatever reason.

Come on, guys!  Putin doesn't do anything that doesn't benefit Putin.  Thrusting himself into the spotlight only serves to give him more cred at home where many people dislike him on par with how hated Obama is in the USA.

I dont think anyone on this board either way is happy with what is happening to this country. I also do believe that Putin is at least bullish on his own country a quality sorely lacking in O. That is what most are happy about someone who cares and is not afraid of doing a little jab at the current administrations lack of leadership. I don't think the current government shut down is hurting the US anymore than the leadership we have had these last years. O when he passed O care he did not do it in a good way he basically ramrodded the bill through because then he had the majority. So how do you think this tactic of gov shut down is any more sinister than that? Or let me ask you, maybe we have to pass the bill to find out whats in it, do the famous Pelosi words not speak of a gov run amok?  Who in their right mind passes a bill with the whole of the US subject to it and fundamentally change the course of the US not read, study, analyze and scrutinize to make sure its good for the nation? Its called O care but who really penned it? That in my books is the top of gov corruption negligence without even going into Benghazi, the tax scandal and a myriad of other problem decisions that this current administration has NEVER answered for. So its no wonder that the US is crying for the strength of a good man in office and see in others what we are sorely lacking. The US is starved for a good leader one that truly has the best interest of the US in their sites.

I'd believe that but.... Obama has been reactionary to every world event, not a leader of them.

Good discussion, Guys!  It's great to see the passion people have for their ideas.  We love our country enough to care what is happening.  Keep it up!  :cooldude:

That was not directed at everyone, obviously.

And, to say the people who oppose Obamacare WANT to damage the country?  We want to HELP the country.  We believe that Obamacare is, and will continue to, drag down the country.  We want to SAVE the country.

That remark was really ained at politicians. But I didn't say they "want" to hurt the country, I said they "don't mind" hurting the country and they don't. They are all about the end, means be cursed. They have a lot of people convinced that keeping the current system in place is a good idea. I'm not sure how they pulled off that Jedi mind-trick but they did.

It is certainly NOT "f**k the country".  It is LOVE of country that motivates.

Again, more aimed at politicians. Not that there aren't those private citizens who feel that way. It's not love of country, it's love of THIR IDEA of what this country should be and that is narrow and backwards.

We disagree on this.  But please, do not attack with false motivations.

I have never heard anyone question Putin's loyalty to the Russian people or country.
Never heard Putin apologize for precieved national wrongs, real or imagined..
I've never heard of Putin passing the buck and blaming everyone else. He takes responsibility...
You might remember that he was the mayor of one of the world's largest cities after the Soviet Collapse and the attempted coup and deep economic... He succeeded where others failed... In short, he had real executive experience before becoming President..

And this is not the first time that Putin has bitch slapped the Obamination on the world stage either.. of course that doesn't really take a lot, not a lot of world leaders that haven't.. I believe there might be a chief of a pygmy tribe in the Amazon who hasn't yet had the opportunity and a roving band of Bedoin headers in the Sudan, but Kerry has opened negotiations with them so it can be accomplished before the end of his term.

Any one who maligns those who do not like what President Obama is doing to our country is either misinformed or sadly lacking in understanding the members of this board.  Many are veterans here and we love this country but don't have to be in lockstep with those who think that we are headed in the right direction.

As far as the POTUS is concerned, taking a quote from "Band of Brothers"...  "Captain Sobol, we salute the rank, not the man."
