Just wondering why?

I am not the only one, just the most vocal one.  Many people who disagree with the majority's positions have been run off.  They learned to stick to the Tech section if at all.  Do we have any African American members active?  How many enjoy hearing our President referred to as "buckwheat" the "Halfrican"?  Tell me you think that is appropriate.  I know full well my words won't change a racist into someone that doesn't judge someone based upon the color of their skin, but for those that aren't racist I hope it is a call to stamp out that sort of behavior.  Surprisingly, what happens is members rise up in unity to defend the behavior, saying it's just racist speech not racism. 

We all know that you think Obama is the bestest president ever.  But few people on this board agree with your assessment. It is very difficult for you to understand how our opinion of the man can be so different than yours.  In your search for an explanation you (and some other progressive) play the race card in an effort to validate your view and dismiss others. You can then feel "good" about yourself and vilify those that differ from you.  As it turns out, you are the hater.

Don'tcha just luv it when a self-appointed arbiter comes along to help straighten us all out. I would never be so foolish as to assume I know the character of any percentage of this, or any other organization. Especially when I don't even know the majority of the members, their training, education, their continued support of anyone in need...regardless of race, creed, or color. I've posted blonde jokes, as have others. That doesn't make us disapprove of blondes. Actually I adore blondes, they're much easier to find in the dark. I've made Italian jokes, and even with a German name....I'm mostly Italian. The point is, yes....we joke about certain aspects of humanity, and make some rather terse remarks about individuals....myself included. That's a long way from being a racist, but it does show how strongly one feels about a particular individual or group of individuals.

Let's see now, if Zero is a Halfrican, does that make me a Halflian....as in Half Italian. Actually no, since I'm more than half. It's so confusing, how does one keep from being a racist. Maybe you can enlighten us. In the mean time young man, I think maybe it's time you climbed down. You put yourself up there so I'm quite certain you can lower yourself to the level of the rest of humanity. Now where did I put that book of Redneck jokes......

I doubt you can but if you can understand and agree with what is being said in this video you may have a hope to understand why people are so upset with the current gov and the way things are going. This is the way to restore a healthy, productive and happy US.

If your question is sincere and not rhetoric, I recommend asking a known racist in person, in person and in a non-judgmental manner (not on an open forum as a broad accusation, assuming you really want a sincere answer).

I cannot speak for reasons why some on the forum may be racist.  I know that I am not.  I choose to believe that people in general, are good people, such as yourself.  

You struck me as a very intelligent and interesting person.  I was surprised that you would assume over half of us are racist, and further would stereotype cruiser riders in general as more likely to be racist than sport bike riders... this is subjective validation at best.

Unlike others, I'm not going to block you just because I find your accusation distasteful.  If I am personally offended by what is posted, I'll confront the individual directly and follow up with a moderator if needed.  If the issue is unresolved, I can choose to go elsewhere.  

I don't agree with everything I read on here and I don't have to.  The thing about forums... filled with all sorts of opinions.

Liberals and democrats have made racism a thriving business in this country. Just look at Al Sharpton for one. He rode the coat tails of the Tawana Brawley fraud and launched himself into being a hero for his race. No matter that he also instigated the Crown Heights riots where a young Jewish man was brutally murdered by a gang of black thugs. He's a hero! A Race Warrior! Converting events like Trayvon Martin into his own self concocted campaign is his lot in life in order to fuel the fires of the racism that puts dinner on his table.

Racism and racists are just more of their catch phrases to pigeonhole people into not so flattering categories so they can point their self-righteous fingers and say, "Look See? That's what we're talking about." Losing that air of superiority is their greatest fear and pounding down others by perceiving and labeling them racist is one way of preserving that.

That's what the OP clearly did to start this thread. Nothing more than that. Simple race baiting. It's an old, worn out method that does more to label the user of such than it does for those accused.

Me? Raised in the south an cursed proud of it. Married to a beautiful woman from Honduras for over 20 years (see avatar). Two daughters raised in a multi-cultural household. And a sweetie pie of a grand baby that will also be raised to know both cultures. Oh...and lest I forget...my soon to be son-in-law is a black man that spends more time in our home than he does in his own. And I would sit down to dinner with him a thousand times before I would step foot once over the thresh hold of the home that belongs to the finger pointing, race baiting, self-superior original poster in this thread. And I would rather share the wind with the devil himself.

I would argue that my credentials on tolerance and racial matters far exceed the original poster's exponentially. I mean hell....I even let a black dog into our house to play and be best buds with our white bull terrier!!
