Just wondering why?

I'm wondering why such a large percentage of people that are members of this forum are racist.  Not all of you, but a majority of you.  I mean I understand many of you disagree with our President based upon his policies.  Many of you disagree with anyone that is a Democrat or Liberal or Progressive, because you disagree with the ideology.  What is a little bit surprising to me is the sheer volume or percentage of you that are flat out bigots.  It is nearly impossible to read postings in this forum on any subject without hearing someone allude to welfare recipients being "mixed color that can't speak english", or hearing someone call our President "buckwheat" or a "Halfrican".  Why is it that in this day and age you are still judging people based upon the color of their skin?  Why do you feel superior for being born white?

Why do you feel superior?

Hell, virtually every ethnic group has their own support organization. Why do they feel superior?

NAACP
Congressional Black Caucus
National Council of La Raza
National Italian American Foundation
Arab League
B'nai B'rith

The list goes on and on.

Yet without actually knowing the members on a personal basis, you feel so superior to make a rash, blanket indictment of virtually every one?

Way to go hypocrite.

Just because YOU think it is a racist statement, DOES NOT mean the speaker is a racist.

Halfrican?  Really?? that makes some one a racist??

Really?  What names have I called people?  I have called people a racist, bigot, or racist a-hole for making racist statements.  Have I called someone a name based on their race?  Please point out where I have done so.  Also, as I stated earlier, I don't think everyone here are racists, just most people here.  I am pretty much alone in calling people out on it.  The rest are complicit.  A casual observer reading through this forum could easily discern that.

Lets pretend I was the biggest racist here, and every other word I typed was a racial epithet.  Does that make it right for others to do so?  Do you feel any responsibility as a member of this community in trying to curb such behavior?  As stated by a previous poster, there are many ethnic organizations that are heavily involved in advocating for their communities.  Does that make it okay for you to call someone names, or judge their abilities based upon their ethnicity?

Yes, my question does point out a disturbing trend on this forum.  Does anyone have the cojones to give an honest reply?  Tell me your reasoning for being a racist, I really want to know.  An interesting thing I have noticed is the correlation between riding a cruiser such as a Valkyrie or HD Touring bike and racism.  You won't notice this trend on a crotch rocket forum, or a BMW forum.  Why do you think this is?  I really don't know, but I am curious as to others opinions on the matter.  Are there any active members of this forum that are of a different ethnic background than caucasian?

I'll say it again, Using what you consider to be racist names or terms does not make someone a racist, they are only a person that uses racist names or terms.  It makes them no more a racist than speaking Korean makes a person a Korean.  Now do you get it?

Your logic is flawed and it is you that doesn't get it.  It is the content of what you say, not the language you say it in that makes a person a racist.  You can be a racist in Korean (which is a nationality not a race).  Saying or doing racist things is precisely what makes a person a racist.

Some people just like to stir the pot. I dont believe anyone on this board is racist.  Seems like latley everyone is quick to throw the racist card. I dont think you know anyone on here from jack so how can you be so quick to claim racism?  Maybe get to know some of the members and you will realize we are a bunch of good guys that are quick to help each other. Maybe you have already lost your help pass.

It is because of reading yet another forum thread filled with racist B.S.  In the thread one guy calls our President a "Halfrican", and it is not the first time I have seen that.  In the same thread a guy calls his own sons "HAsian".  I am disgusted with peoples behavior and as a student of anthropology, curious as to the reasons for such behavior.  Aside from Skinhead's ridiculous statement saying that using racist words doesn't make a person a racist (they are only speaking the native tongue of racism), I have yet to see someone attempt an answer to the question posted.

I know many people think that a Democrat will call any action by a Republican racially motivated.  Also many Republicans think that any action by a Democrat is motivated by some desire for the government to control every aspect of their lives, or some desire for a "free-ride".  This is not what I am referring to.  I am referring to many specific postings with opinions and jokes that are obviously racist, using racist terminology, that are met with smiley faces and comments of "good one".  I honestly want to know why this is occurring in 2013.

There is no truth that the majority of this forum are racist.

And you resort again to puerile name terminology with the use of "man up", "grow a pair".

My opinion about forum members is absolutely none of your business.

Korean is a language, I used Korean because my analogy was about speaking, most people use one language or another when they speak.  A persons words COULD INDICATE that that person maybe a racist, but I don't think you should use the words they may use solely, to label them as a racist.  I think actions and the way they treat other races is more indicative of whether or not they are a racist.  Just because someone doesn't bow down and kiss the azz of a half white/half african community organizer that promises the world and delivers diddly squat, doesn't make him a racist, it makes them a person that uses the term halfrican to describe a lying politician that is destroying our country that happens to be half white and half african, although most of his supporters seem to forget about the half white part.  I'm glad the white part doesn't get blamed for his ineptness.  By the way white isn't a race it's a color, and African isn't a race either.

Doesn't that statement speak volumes.  You are right, a person's words could indicate that a person may be a racist.  Apparently you are fluent in the language known as racism, but no that doesn't mean you are a racist...lol

Why are you the only one that thinks everyone is racist? I would think if anyone else thought we were they would have expressed their concers also. I have never seen so many political post since I joined thr fourm 4 years ago. And have never seen someone stir the pot as much as you do. I realize all the health care bull crap has everyone wound up, but why keep stirring the pot when someone does not agree with your logic or says something like halfrican?

I am just fu#@ing amazed that you don't know the answer! You know everything else that comes up.  I could ask a similar question as yours, such as, Why did your mother raise such an ass? But I won't because I don't really care. Too many ass's in the world to concentrate on just one.

Sorry if that sounded harsh, but I felt like it needed to be said.

I am not the only one, just the most vocal one.  Many people who disagree with the majority's positions have been run off.  They learned to stick to the Tech section if at all.  Do we have any African American members active?  How many enjoy hearing our President referred to as "buckwheat" the "Halfrican"?  Tell me you think that is appropriate.  I know full well my words won't change a racist into someone that doesn't judge someone based upon the color of their skin, but for those that aren't racist I hope it is a call to stamp out that sort of behavior.  Surprisingly, what happens is members rise up in unity to defend the behavior, saying it's just racist speech not racism.

I'm not speaking for Britman, but to answer your question, WE don't call them on it because they are NOT racists, you have labeled them as such based on a word or a joke that was posted.  I think the real racists are the people that think one minority needs to be molly coddled and given hand outs and special treatment because of their race and with out those hand outs and special treatment, they couldn't make it.  It is precisely the hand out and special treatment that is holding them back.  Expect them to be responsible for their actions, expect them to meet accepted requirements if they want a certain job, don't lower the criteria to make them qualified, give them the training they need to become qualified.  If they can't pass the training or meet the requirements, then they AREN'T qualified and don't deserve the job.  I would be embarrassed if some one gave me a job I wasn't qualified for or lowered the standards for based on my race.  Who are the real racists??

Well of course it is uncomfortable for people to be called on their racism.  It's not much fun to do it either.  It is definitely easier to keep quiet, to laugh and say yeah "buckwheat"  that's a good one.  Welfare recipients are just like mixed-color dogs that don't speak english right?  I should probably just join in and call our President a "Halfrican", or at least turn a blind eye right?  I should fear being called a fool, and cower down at the thought of some random internet person disparaging my mother.  Blend right in with the typical VRCC poster.

Why are Democrats, Liberals, and Progressives racist when it comes to Senator Ted Cruz? I have ridden with many on this board and  have been to at least four Inzanes. As a Hispanic I have always been treated with respect and always been greeted warmly by the members on this board. I have made my own way in this world and have never accepted any handouts. I have worked hard for everything that I have and I will help anyone that's trying to better themselves. The problem that most people have with President Obama is that he is a liar. He will go on TV and say one thing (Red Line)and then turn around and go on TV again a couple of weeks later and say that he didn't say that. That's just one of many examples. I believe that President Obama is an amateur and doesn't have a clue. I don't agree with his policies and I believe that he is trying to hurt our country. We are the laughing stock of the world and we are not respected by our enemies. I can only hope and pray that we start taking our country back in 2014 and then the Presidency in 2016.

It's how they end all of their arguments and the people are on to your B.S. go play in someone elses sand box. Interesting post and question. bigot a person who strongly and unfairly dislikes other people, O is half African actually maybe more. As for the poor and welfare recipients they are a higher percentage black. So racial profiling is about as much as you could really say. But being a liberal from California everyone outside that thinking is a bigot. Just like those who fought for the gay agenda were all bigots. You fall right in the category to not understand that when people behave to harm or abuse someone else a slang word develops. Which if you look at the definition it says unfairly dislikes other people. So its really the pot calling the kettle black when most just have a difference of opinion from you and percieve these people as hurting the US, therefore not bigots but justified in their dislike. You on the other hand dont like the way some talk and its come to no harm so you are actually the bigot. Understanding is the thing that you lack and that cannot be developed by any explanation it is a point of view that can only be changed by life experiences. I would say it is akin to Muslim extremists thinking or sociopath type of thinking. Its that deeply inbred so much so it does not allow a understanding of anyone else's position. The idea to put the US people first who work hard, paid a price to be where they are, they will give to anyone with a just cause and yet to cut off all the scammers, suckers, low lifes and lazy bums is a just and fair way to be. Handouts and fundamentally changing US society to accept people who want to suck society dry and really don't care about anyone else is a cause I can back also. They dont deserve anything and in my books there is not a name bad enough to call these people. So its also not about names but about people expressing the distaste for things that are not good in any way they can with fervent expressions.

Really!  I'm a bigot that is akin to Muslim extremists for calling people out for racist statements?  Interesting theory, though one not support by simple logic.  Six Guns, meeting VRCC members in person and being treated with respect and warmth has been my experience as well.  The sad thing is many have not been the same way online.  You dislike President Obama.  Does that make you a racist?  Of course not!  You dislike his policies and you don't trust him, does that make you a racist?  Of course not!  If you called him a "Halfrican" or "buckwheat" or a "n" word, would that make you a racist?  Yes, it would, because it is a derogatory statement based on his race, not his policies or character.

Former President Bush had a very low approval rating and was severely chastised for it.

President Obama has a very low approval rating.

Why is it racist when we have a black president but not racist when the president is white?

Both are/were  being chided because of what they did or are doing to our country.  That includes all the members of congress whether they are red or yellow or white or black.

I dislike them equally no matter what their color.  I judge people by the color of their character and if the majority of a certain race contributes to the stereotype it's on them.
