Hi.

I'm Freep. I live in Bayfield, CO and looking at the surrounding communites there's a few VRCCers in the 4 Corners area. How 'bout we get together and go ride?

I propose a meeting, say in Durango, Irish Embassy maybe?
Just set a date/time and if you're interested, show up.

Post suggestions for date/time here.

Whaddya think?

You might be more successful if you send some of them a personal message. If they don't keep up with the forum, they won't see your message but if you pm them it will come up on their email.

I did that for those close in, no joy. Guess they aren't active anymore. Or changed emails.

Freep,

Misfit is the current head of the Colorado VRCC Chapter. He would be able to get you in touch with the Colorado riders. I myself live in Pueblo and love the idea of this ride.

I think a bit late for this year whereas us eastern Colorado slopers have to cross high snowy mountains to get to you. I would be down for next spring though.

I'll PM him.

I've been thinking of late that I don't want to quit riding yet this year. Might be 'cause with the late winter last year my last ride was deep into November, Bayfield to Ventura California and I'm thinking I could do that again. All about the weather though.  :-\

Is there a corridor from Pueblo to the south you could ride? How late is Raton viable? Maybe Truth or Consequenses via um, Oklahoma City?  ;)

I've also been thinking I can extend my season if I trailer the bike out of the snow, find a secure spot to drop the truck and trailer and ride around from there. We'll see.

I've run some events in the past but none for motorcycles.
What is expected in the way of organization?

Off the top of my head I'm thinking a loose kind of deal--kind like:
"I'll meet whoever shows up at the Scummy Bucket Pub (more like a coffee joint) and we'll leave at 10, ride up to Silverton for lunch, those that want can continue on to Gunnison or peel off wherever. Here's a phone number of the motel in Gunnison. . . "

That sound about right?
Other ideas?
What would YOU GUYS want?
