My Grandson Ryder, at less than 2 years old, is the most motorcycle crazed individual I have ever known. And that's saying a lot. Some of you will remember him from the 2012 Hoosier Dragon ride.

Last night his Dad was here with a new "still in the box, ICON helmet" which they had shopped for while we kept Ryder. There was no picture on the box and yet with only one side of the box open showing a bag covered helmet Ryder shouted helmet (one of maybe 30 words he knows) and insisted on wearing it.

For maybe 20 minutes Ryder wore that helmet that probably weighted 1/3 of what he does. The way he happily insisted on wearing it as it's weight tried to pin his head to the floor was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. At one time he fell down and couldn't get up without help because of the weight of the helmet. He can't yet say motorcycle but he can say and identify my son's Ducati and his Valkyrie.

And, he can tell his Dad's Valk from mine. The word motorcycle he communicates by twisting his wrist as he looks at you wistfully. And of course, firearms and the gun safe are both identified as "bang bang".

He's several months shy of being two yet and he is the most motorcycle crazed person I have ever known.
I love being a Grandpa!!!!
