Nice ride this weekend...Tennessee / Virginia / Kentucky

I had no plans whatsoever to hit the road again this weekend with doing the " Crazyhorse Veterans Weekend Ride " scouting ride last weekend and " The Fall Color Ride " coming up next weekend however this beautiful weather we are having right now just scream's for a motorcycle trip.I got a late start Friday and was going to hook up with my friend Paul ( Wimp ) who was already on the road ridin' the mountains of Virginia and West Virginia. I thought he said Pineville, Kentucky for Friday night so I headed that way . I sent him a text telling him I'd be in Pineville that night and took off . I checked my phone after a couple hours ridin' some really cool old country backroads and he claimed not Pineville but Pikeville, Kentucky  ???   Oh well it was a beautiful day and I was diggin' this solo ride I was doing so I made the turn and headed for Pikeville. A few pictures I took along the way.








Took this picture just as I was getting into Virginia . Some color in the trees I'm hoping the moutains of Tennessee and North Carolina will be popping next weekend when we do " The Fall Color Ride " .

It's obvious I was still in The Great State Of Tennessee when I took " The Money Shot " . I have no idea how I got here I was just taking roads that kinda went in the direction I needed to be going.

Looks like a great day for a ride, with some great shots. It does still look pretty green out there though, hope them colors pop for next weekend. 

I've been holding tight a bit but some colors are starting to show, it won't be long and hope I don't miss it. I've got to fly out of town this Friday for another funeral but will try to make a run before Friday or first part of that following week.

Hope it works out for a colorful run for you, looking forward to the pic's and RR.

Wish you could come join us one year we always have a outstanding group of folk's coming to The Fall Color Ride in Robbinsville , NC the 3rd weekend in Oct.

I thought about heading your way but I didn't hit the road until well after 12:30 and backroads just had a better sound than the super slab on such a beautiful day.

Nice report Joe, seems like you and that Green bike are bonding a lot this year. Its not as Pretty as the the Blue and Silver interstate but as long as you like it.    Hope to ride with you again soon Joe, be careful and ride safe.

I agree about the good looks of them all.  I do think the Green and Beige has a more masculine presentation.  I have a few female friends that ride the Blue and Silver and I really like the looks of them on those.  I don't think a Blue and Silver would look as good on Joe, Ghost, but it fits you well.   

Incidentally, Ghost, if we haven't met, I'm Willow.  It's good to make your acquaintance.

Another nice ride, Joe.  Everytime I read one of your reports I'm reminded that I settled in the wrong part of the country.
