After ten days in the NICU at Genesys Medical Center in Grand Blanc, MI, she is finally in a step down unit.

I had the opportunity to talk her Dr. today and he said that the blood clot in her arm is quite a bit smaller than it was yesterday so that she does not need constant monitoring.

He also said that most rib breaks begin to heal enough within 4 to 6 weeks and allow the patient a bit more comfort and mobility. However he believes that it will take a least 8 weeks before she starts to be somewhat mobile and I may take even longer before she feels better.

At least it is a first step in her recovery. I'd like some assurance as to when she will be home again.

She is so looking forward to seeing her repaired motorcycle and the service manager at the shop were it is at, has promised to bring her bike over when she is well enough to come home. And will take it back to his shop , do a winter prep and store it for the winter storage at no cost to us.

Thank all of you for your prayers, good wishes, and positive vibes.
