....to get a measly 225 mile ride in......I wasn't even a mile from home.....sitting at a red light when a guy pulled up next to me in a van.....he started rolling his window down and said something to to me....I didn't hear what he said, because the iPod was turned up....he flashed a big smile and a thumbs up as I roared off...... :cooldude:

60 miles up the road.....I stopped in Clarkesville, GA to eat lunch at a great burger place in the middle of town......I parked across the street from the place, and watched numerous ppl who were walking by stop to look and point at the Old Girl.....mostly older couples......I also overheard the owner telling his employees what a nice bike it was.......

on the way home tonight, I had stopped for a bladder break and was walking back to the bike when an older couple in a nice Beemer pulled up behind the bike....guy was rolling his window down and asked me what kind of a bike it was......he told me he'd had a '95 Gold Wing he loved to ride back then and some newer ones after that he didn't care as much for......as I was leaving the parking lot, a gaggle of middle school age kids were waving and yelling what a nice bike I had......good thing it was getting dark, I cut the green LED's on and shagged ass for home.......geeze.....almost makes me wish she were ugly sometimes.....

My leather Flag jacket's zipper got screwed up on the FCR ride, so I pulled a brand new Joe Rocket Ballistic jacket out of the closet.....my Maw-in-Law bought it for me a long time ago......it was about 45 degrees when I left home, so I threw the Gerbing's in the trunk(just in case)......never needed them.....it got up to the mid 50's......and I was comfy all day long.....and realized I didn't even have the jacket liner in it...... :-[......it has all the padding in it......guess I'll make it my new winter jacket and get the leather one's zipper fixed later......

So, it was a day of cool, crisp weather(Fat Lady loves these temps).....good food, good roads, and awesome scenery....it doesn't get much better than that!!....... :cooldude:

It's probably wise NOT to pull out your cell phone camera and start taking pictures in the Public Men's (or Ladies) Room.....   ???

I love the new textiles. They're warm, waterproof and they breathe. The only problem is the stiffness and bulk.
Boxer rebellion, the Holy Child. They all pay their rent.
But none together can testify to the rhythm of a road well bent.
Saddles and zip codes, passports and gates, the Jones' keep.
In August the water is trickling, in April it's furious deep.

yeah, you're right.  i've got a black cycle jacket that has a removeable inner liner, once you put it back in it feels a tad bit too tight.  or maybe it's the extra lard i put on.
