. . . ...I saw a werewolf at Trader Vics. . . ...his hair was perfect...

Willow

I guess I completely missed the point of the video.

I really can't believe I wasted over fourteen minutes watching the whole thing.  I would advise anyone else to not bother.

Can't believe I watched the entire thing also.

Nothing happens untill 11 minutes when they break they guy's window and pull him out of the car....and then, nothing happens again.

I believe that the point of the video is this guy goes around making videos challenging Border Patrol check points looking for trouble.  In this video, he found it.

I'm pretty sure the wacko is from outside California.

The Californians certainly have a right and responsibility to protect their fruits and vegetables from the outside invasion of damaging organisms carried by external fruits and vegetables.  There was no "unreasonable search" called for.  I've crossed those checkpoints many times with the answer to a simple and very reasonable question.

I watched enough of the video to develop a response.  I did not watch enough to waste another fourteen minutes to no meaningful end.

My reaction is, "What an asshole."  I hope I interpreted it as you expected.  Once more, I would advise any other readers to not waste their time unless they have an interest in making a case of the equivalence of personal freedom and a complete disregard for the public welfare and refusing to cooperate with very reasonable requests.

...Well...your response seems rather hostile and rude to me...so I hope you,ll understand if I dont carry this conversation on any further..

I can understand the concern.  I'm not so sure on this guy's tactics though.

At what point do we as citizens say enough is enough to the loss of liberty?  Is it when they say "show me your papers"?

Is this acceptable because it's outside the Yuma, Az area and being close to the Border?  Would this be okay if they did the same thing in say, Nebraska?

And also, why are these Border Patrol checkpoints well inside of the United States and not at the border where you'd think that they'd be looking for illegals.....or is that what they're really looking for?  Ummmmm.

I do understand and I'm okay with your assessment.

I do hope the hostile was perceived to be toward the subject and not to you personally.  The rude side is very much a matter of perspective.  I do realize that some folks quickly evaluate frank expression as rude.  I'm okay with that.

Thanks for the heads up Willow, life is short. No time to waste.

When I lived in Texas late 70s early 80s I drove a reefer truck-chickens out produce back. In all my years running out there I never ONCE was pulled over outbound(back to Texas)for an inspection of my load. Polite answers and not giving the folks doing their job a ration of $hit goes a long way towards a pleasant day for all parties involved. When I moved furniture going to California I was adamant about no/none/zero/nada/DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT putting aunt bessies fern or orchids or whatever in my trailer. You put them in your vehicle when you drive out there and they WILL confiscate those plants and destroy them. And when I saw those folks again they told me I was right. Had they been in my trailer they MIGHT not have ever seen their furniture again. Arizona can be some what picky iffin they wanna be. Have ZERO idea what it's like going out there in a commercial vehicle now nor do I want to learn. RIDE SAFE.

Lets see.. a guy at a border check point who appears to be taking pictures at the agents for several minutes and not cooperating with them? I would think the patrol would start to have red flags going up after a very short time of this. The same scenario at a Mexican check point we wouldn't see this video, we would just hear about another American strangely disappearing.
