had my last appointment with my ortho dr. this Wednesday concerning my broken back. he was gonna clear me to ride again,   :)   but still to take it easy. full healing should be 1yr. (I broke it 6-19-13) I was taking the dog out sunday night for her last potty run before bed. fricken stepped in a hole that she had dug in the yard and broke my arm!   :tickedoff:  now i'm stuck in a cast for 6 wks. will it ever end...    >:(

Henry! You cant go around copying me like that.  I broke my back and then my arm (mine was 11 months  apart) but still.  I feel your pain LITERALLY!!

Be careful out there, healing sucks!

Sorry to hear it dude, but you know what they say, its true, "it" happens

Henry, I can`t say that I don`t feel your pain because I do . BUT, you will heal and be almost as good as "new". There are some of us that have problems that will not "heal" I wish you the best in your recovery. I would trade places with you today in a NY. minute !  ;)

Don't worry Henry, Obama care will be in full effect in '14.  They'll get you fixed up good as new then, and it will be free!

My 2013 has been a combination of Friday the 13th meets Groundhog Day. My mom took a turn for the worse in February and passed a few months later.  Then, one of my best friends died suddenly at age 58 from an aortic aneurism. He was one of the healthiest guys I ever knew. His wife had the longest memorial service in the history of mankind. We headed to our place in TN for two weeks to heal and upon returning to reality, we found that my ex-wife was terminal and my wife's ex-husband was trying to drink himself to death (he recently succeeded). My wife just went through surgery to remove the right adrenal gland and is out of commission for 6 weeks, and though I'm a good care giver, I've lost my riding buddy until after Christmas.

This year has really sucked and I'm about done with this crap. 2014 will hopefully be better.

The first step in getting somewhere is deciding that you are not going to stay where you are.

Hope you heal well from this. My experience with a cast is when it gets hot and itchy I put the blower on my air compressor put the end in the cast. Works wonders.

I (kinda) know what you are going through.  When I had my knees replaced a year apart it kept me off the bikes for two summers.  It'll heal, and then you can catch up.  We'll go on a nice long ride next spring.  Untill then, be careful.
