Yep, 8N Fords were the work horses of many farms when I was a younger version of myself.

I still use a 1953 Ford Jubilee to mow my 3 acres.  I think it was a 8N body with the first overhead  valve  4 cylinder.  It just keeps on trucking.  Recently went to get a set of points and condenser for maintenance reasons and told the guy behind the Ford tractor place counter that I was going to buy a new tractor as soon as this Jubilee gives out.   He looked at me and said "It'll never give out.  You will be using that tractor the day you die." 

I love cranking it for the first time every summer after it has set all winter without being cranked.  Charge up the 6 volt battery first. ThenYou set the choke and the throttle and hit the starter button.   

chug, chug, chug, chug, chug, hit, hit, chug,chug, hit,hit,hit, chug, chug, hit,hit, hit (sputtering while running on 3 cylinders)   15 seconds or so later the 4th cylinder kicks in and a big cloud of blue smoke shoots out the exhaust and it purs like a kitten.....and you are good for the summer.
