Back East?  They are at least active in Colorado Springs and in Los Angeles.  I didn't check a lot elsewhere.  The full name is Five Guys Burgers and Fries.  They do a bang up job not with just the food but also a "we're here to serve you" atmosphere.

I like Five Guys, Red Robin, and Fuddruckers.  I do have to believe there's some excellent individual shop out there that just tried or succeeded in going national yet.

if your talking drive thru IN N OUT are by far the best but b e warned there average drive thru time wait is 15 min as long as its not lunch or dinner time then about half a hour average im not kidding the menu is just burger , double burger , with or without cheese  fries great shakes and assorted drinks  there biggest seller by far is there famous double double just double meat double cheese they have really cool tshirts with different cars on them a couple times a year online also and they are the oldest drive thru in California no franchises all company owned there in Las vegas now too

There's lots of places to get a great burger around here, but you can't beat McGuire's Irish Pub.  There's two....one in Pensacola and one in Destin.

I prefer "Steak and Shake" for a quick lunch.
Chilis "Oldtimer" is a darn good burger, and their fries aren't bad either. JMHO


But in Dearborn, MI we have the world reknowned "Millers Bar". All they serve is burgers with or without cheese and fries. Canned pop and bottled beer is available for your thirst quenching.

This is an old school bar.. no fancy cash register or tickets... at the end of the night, you just tell em' what you had and she tells you how much........ usually you don't care by that point.   

I also agree on 5 Guys.... for a chain, they are the best!

In-N-Out Burger is a regional chain of fast food restaurants with locations in five western states in United States. I never go to fast food but this place is very well liked with fresh ingredients.  my boy loves it.

not steriotyping. cops eat donuts, simple as that. we work crazy hours all the time, most of the time donut shops are all thats open, go into a hospital emergency room, donuts every night, go into the station to do a report, yep -- donuts. you know what confusous said ? you can take the cop out of the car, but you can't take the donut out of the cop.

Any of you get to Central Arkansas you might check out Cotham's in the town of Scott, a few miles south of Little Rock on Arkansas Hwy 161. If you're really hungry the Hubcap Burger might be the way to go but the regular burger and fries with a side of fried green tomatoes are worth the trip.

Rudy, how was the wait when ya got there? We live a lot closer than you do and have tried to get in the place on numerous occasions. Always in the wrong mood to want to wait an hour and a half.
Also got the feeling they really didn't care the wait was that long. But I have heard all the food is great.

Had a Carl's Jr last time I was in California and liked it....don't have any near me now so I can't repeat the test to see if the burgers were really that good or I was just starved and almost anything would have tasted good at that point.

We went mid-week, mid afternoon and sat right down. I was surprised!
They even gave us a free dessert for driving so far to check 'em out!
