I like it and will seriously consider buying one.
Lets see how many will vote for it. It basically comes down to the 3 choices

six2go #152

I voted for the 1st choice, but really I would fall into a combination of 1 & 3. I want to see how the accessory windshields attach/look. As far as bags, I can get by with a rear seat bag or waterproof duffel lashed across the rear seat. Don't need room for a passenger, never have one.

Dave Weaver

Well then Mr. T-Bird, I can think of a place fer that yellar old wore out Valk ya riding now.....
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

klb

I voted one also. I would keep my 99 standard to have variety.
The black one pictured does look pretty good.

PAVALKER

Tried to vote the second and third option..... but could only vote one... so it ended up with the 3rd option.

I find it interesting and might consider it depending on windshield and luggage options. I also find it very interesting how close it looks to the GL1800 naked bike one of our members created 4 or more years ago.

Need to know what the cornering ground clearance is!

T-Bird

Dave, ...I will keep old yeller for a collector....you know why people aren't riding around everyday on 1929 Indians & Harleys...no parts to keep them going.

....Personally...I dont see it..

....it looks like it was designed by Japanese engineers, who watched too many Star War movies..

.....for my money...Id take the f6B over it any day....bags..shield...STEREO...and compare the seats..

. . . ...I saw a werewolf at Trader Vics. . . ...his hair was perfect...

I need to ride one first over varied terrain like up in Lake George

After watching the video of Yellow Wolf killing the  129 on his Wing I would not doubt the bike can handle, the new F6 being even lighter than the wing is

I could not ride that bike in its present configuration, need a windscreen and highway pegs and a backrest at a minimum

Do like the look though, and would like it better more naked

yeah I know, a real surprise Oss wants something naked    :2funny:

I rode with yellow wolf at the gap...he was draggin metal in every corner like me, but he had more power out of the corners. I suspect this new Valkyrie will be the same.  I just hope the bags will be hard bags and will be easily removable along with a top case also.

I'd like to see what Lamont could do with one. He has in the past really made some nice custom bikes.  :cooldude:

I'd consider one. The black does look pretty good to me.

Bugslayer

Oh, hell yeah! I like it!   :D

I would buy one.  If, the handling is good that is.  Maybe they will have them at Americade.  If they do I will definitely give one a try.

Valkorado

I went for 3 but mainly because I am poor, I love my bike and it is paid for!  l also prefer the old school retro look of our bikes, and chrome is becoming a rare sight on new ones.  I think this makes our bikes even cooler, but if I ever absolutely needed another ride something like this would be worth consideration.  I would have also liked to see the retro look with that engine, anti lock brakes, LED lights and all the modern tech.

The similarities between the new Valk and the F6B is the same as it's differences. Shield, bags, backrest and bling we are used to putting on our bikes.

To get a totally fair appraisal, I asked the Lady of The House what she thought of the two bikes.

Of the new Valk - ''I couldn't sit on that rear seat for more than 10 minutes, let alone for 300 miles. It looks  way too front heavy as well. Does not look either comfortable or practical''.

Of the F6B - ''I prefer the look of the F6B to the Valk, but the F6B looks like it's trying to be something but it doen't know what. It's neither a tourer or a cruiser''.

''Let me put it another way, you're not going to trade in our Standard for either one of those BatMan bikes''.  :uglystupid2:

And there ended the conversation.
I love that woman ...   :-*

The more I look at it the better I like it, I see a lot of potential there, if I were to buy new I would give this new Valkyrie strong consideration.

Bad news is:
1. good for only a solo ride
2. no storage
3. only good for a one day trip
4. and the big one NO place to carry the BEER

Momz

I've got three Valks now,.....but I could maybe add on to my garage.

ALWAYS QUESTION AUTHORITY!

Don't like the big plastic humps on either side of the triple tree
Need to remove all that flat black plastic covering the exhaust headers and collector pipe
Doesn't look saddlebag friendly (hard or soft)
Would like to see the windshield(s) available
Would like to see the peg location for tall rider
Would like to see more pics.

Overall, I like it and if this IS the new Valkyrie, will probably own one in a few years.

Chillerman

I'm with Timbrwolf. I would rather have this setup.

The problem with Socialists is they eventually run out of other people's money to spend!

Some people are too stupid to realize how ignorant they are.

six2go #152

To me, this new Valkyrie is the "new Standard model" and the F6B is a Hybrid of a "Tourer and Interstate". I like 'em both and as I said earlier, I want to see what the windshields look like and how they are attached.

Stanley Steamer

Not very exciting......Just a stripped down OldWing.....not nearly enough chrome....front fender is fugly.....seat looks like it wouldn't be very comfortable.....seems like they just took the Wing and started taking stuff off.....I wish they had of increased the CC's, but I guess they have they GW engine nailed down....single sided swing arm is nice.....just not very different from the GW and F6B...... :(

I like it.
I'd buy one and ride it especially with some complimentary bags and a windshield.

I'm not sure it maintains spirit of the original Valk. Less a power cruiser than more along the lines of the 919--a naked version of a faired bike.

That said, I'd ride one.

I'm also anxious to see one so I can figure out how to get that single-sided swingarm on my Valk.

Take a look at it from the front.

Those sticky out radiator pod thingies are horrible.

BobB

That's it?  Couldn't they have carved a little more Tupper Ware off?  Without seeing windshield and hard bag options, I lean toward the F6B.  Voted for door 3.

I also much prefer the F6B to this standard naked Wing/Valk.

I have no use for any standard bike.

Ill buy one. Just hope they come out with some hard bags. They do have windshield options in one article I read.

Garry 2r's

I like it but wonder if it has the 6 injectors like the rune.  The Honda engineers need to employ some one who is over 5' 6" it looks like it needs more leg room and ad says low seat height not for me.

Red Diamond

This bike just kind of slapped me in the face when I saw it for the first time this morning. That but ugly F6B didn't do it for me, but this one I'd take right now. I've been flipping the calender all day.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

hairyteeth

So the GW is the Interstate, the F6b is the tourer, and this one is the standard... an F6b without the fairing and saddlebags. I'm sure it would be fun to ride, but then so is what I have now! HT

3fan4life

I like it.

It has a lot of potential.

Of course, I'd have to ride it first.

Hopefully Honda will offer a few different versions like they did with the VTX's.

It does my heart good to finally see a Valkyrie name badge on a new bike though.

Got to see one, touch one and ride one, but it looks like something that could be parked next to the  Yellow and Cream 98 Standard, will keep the 98 till I leave this world, then the kids can do what ever with my toys, I am having a blast trying to use them up before I leave this world. :cooldude: :cooldude:
