I think I read somewhere it would be available in April.

When I bought the new at the time 6th generation VFR in 2002, I had to wait about 6 months for the hard bags. Supposedly they contracted a after market company to make them ( probably Givi)
At the time you bought the bike you needed to purchase the bags I think they were around $800. to get on the list to get them first.  I am hoping not to have to do that again....but I probably will
