I mean that 'other' board I lurk at, there have been only a couple of threads started by the libs lately.

it is nearly always more active then our board, you don't suppose they are feeling some buyers remorse after the election went so swimmingly for them?

I'm hoping the pendulum has swung as far as it can over toward the left and is starting to head back toward the middle. I sure hope I'm right and can see this country get back on track. We've had enough this this 'Great Society' idea.

I have never felt "buyer's remorse" for my vote. I don't even like Obama either but I had years of Mitt Romney up close and personal. If you really think that you would have gotten a better president in him then you failed to pay any attention.

romney wasn't my guy either, but he had my vote over the failure we are experiencing right now.

I would have voted for anyone of the candidates labeled "extreme' by the left.

The first thing Romney said he would do if elected, was overturn Davis Bacon.  I do not regret my vote.

you wouldn't happen to have a link for that? I recall some kind of stink about overtime going away, but I thought it was out of context....

so much one sided mud flinging was going on it was hard to sort it all out....

Not computer savy enough to know how to do that. (or post pictures either).   just search, Romney getting rid of Davis Bacon.

Hmmm, I don't recall him saying that either. I too would like to know where that is. I certainly don't regret my vote either.  :)

Yep, OK, there is info about this out there. He was against D-B, but, thats all I can find. D-B is roughly 80 years old and I think could certainly have some changes made to it. Prevailing wages may have been a good idea at one time, it sure costs the taxpayer a lot of money. 10 billion a year. Not saying its all bad, just saying it could be 'adjusted'.

http://mittromneycentral.com/tag/repeal-davis-bacon-act/

And for more about this union present of a law:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davis%E2%80%93Bacon_Act

It's been suspended 4 times in the past, and even the GAO says it is out dated and should be repealed, since it costs jobs and money.

I would have preferred a different option, but I do not regret my vote at all, especially when I view my vote in the light of not being a vote FOR Romney as much as it was a vote AGAINST Obama.

I stuck with the "devil you know". Ex;

"Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts," Romney said, at a bill signing ceremony on July 1 with legislators, sportsmen's groups and gun safety advocates. "These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people." - Mitt Romney 7/8/2004

Now, I understand if Romney would decide to sign the legislation. Fact is, had he tried to kill it he'd have suffered a humiliating defeat. Massachusetts gets what Massachusetts wants. But to come out and so heartily and gleefuly endorse such blatantly unconstitutional and ineffective legislation in an effort to suck up to the ignorant anti-2nd Amendment crowd should tell you all you need to know about him. He's a WHORE.

BTW, Chris Christie just did the same thing.

I'll go on the record right now, if Chris Christie is the Republican nominee for 2016, I will be voting Libertarian. It took a LOT for me to suck it up and vote for McCain and Romney, but I won't stoop so low as to vote for that worthless yankee Democrat with an R after his name...
