A KWA ATP softair replica of the Glock 17.  It has exactly the same functions as a real Glock.  Slide stop, Mag release, safety trigger, weight, and takedown.

It fires a 6mm plastic bb at about 350fps, semi auto,  and is powered by propane gas pressurized in the magazine and loaded from small propane tanks by means of an adapter. The mag also accepts 25 bbs.

I found it to be very accurate at indoor distances and It's going to work out well for sight picture feedback and practice.  The metal slide cycles after each shot and helps in giving feedback.  It's not loud enough to disturb my condo neighbors.

They also make the same in 1911 replica's which seem to be outstanding in detail and quality.

Here's a picture along with the adapter for the propane tank. I think that it's going to work just fine.  There is a little smell from the propane but it's ok. Glock no longer allows the Glock markings on the airsoft.

Very nice! I'll hafta look into the 1911 version...

If ya' don't mind me asking, how much are those?

And with the propane being used as a propellent, you could rig up some way to set off a spark at firing time so that it explodes in your hands just like a real Glock too!

Excuse my ignorance, dumb question. Do these require a permit ? And if so, in which eastern  states ?

Is the Weight of the tool the same as a real one (close enough?) and what about the trigger press weight?

I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6

Next question...

Since it is powered by propane.....

If you put a sparker device near the end of the barrel would you get a muzzle flash?????

:D

Serk, you're on my list  ;D with your Kaboom remark.  You 1911 fans are all alike, gotta put down Glock. jes kiddin'

Yes, there is a very nice 1911 built too. although I'm not sure if it has a grip safety to keep you guys outta trouble. ;).

Prices run from $150 to just over $225.00 for most .

The weight of my softair is probably close to the 17, I'm not sure since I have a Glock 35 a longer barrel gun.  Trigger pull isn't bad but I haven't measured it yet.

Oh yeah, the thought about using a spark to ignite the propane is profane. :D ;D

Wayne... you'll put your eye out with that thing (better wear wraparound protection in the house).

Patrick, mostly treated like BB guns.  But watch out for the socialist-enclave cities.

I have no idea if Wiki is accurate, scroll to US at bottom.

Thanks Jess.  But, darn, it'll still be illegal if I commit a robbery with one. Geez, what's this world coming too.

Patrick.... it's illegal to commit a robbery with a bar of soap or a banana too (if someone if afraid of them).   ;D

Give me the money or I'll give you such a scrubbing.

I believe they also require that certain parts not be copied too closely (though that never stopped the Chinese). But that should serve as a decent training aid.
