ah yes, the good old ICE SHOVE!!  you'll get that on large lakes, i'm sure the eastern shores of michigan get 'em every year, i've seen one (though not as sever as the video) once before along the souther shore of lake superior, what happens is the wind blows across the lake causing the ice to shove onto land. 

gotta love the winter months......

Here is a spinning ice disc found in ND.  Looks just like a LP record playing.  55 feet.  Really neat.  I have never heard of this.

The vid in the op was shot at lake Milac's In central Minnesota. This happens on this lake all the time. This lake is 26 miles across and very shallow. Why they allow building that close to the shore is beyond me. They ended up with 30 foot high pile's, damaged home's and closed main highway. In past year's they have had ice flow's cross the the highway and level structure's.

News report's at that time showed ice inside of many homes. A number of them had structural damage.
