Cheap cosmetic fix

The used Valkyrie I picked up had some signs of age. The lower front forks were pitted and the rear housing was also in pretty bad shape. About 5 minutes of actual labor ( dry time between coats not included), and a few cans of Plastic Dip later was all it took.

I like the plasti-dip color for the final drive...can you share the color or product number from the can?

The wheels and rear cover are done with Anthracite Gray and coated with clear Glossifier. If you don't clear, it will have a matte finish.

On my front fork lowers took a fine rotating wire brush on my H/F Dremel clone and cleaned it up. Then some 400 grit emery cloth and some aluminum polish and now it looks almost like chrome. You did a fine job with the paint. Again-let us know how long this lasts please. RIDE SAFE.

Looks good rikrok! I removed the clearcoat from my forks using stripper them buffed them using Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish. I power buffed using a Mothers power ball. Worked great! Did my wheels too eventually.

The nice point of plastidip is that if you change your mind later you can peel the plasti dip off and then do what you want.
