Haven't had a chance to ride since the dragon roundup... weather, health, family obligations, and a mirage of other things just conspired against me.

Well, she was made at me for neglecting her... Refused to fire.. (turn the gas on dumb ass).

Recharged the battery, fired right up.
Hour washing her up a little.
Another hour stringing 50 some feet of lights.
Another half hour getting into the cheapest, tackiest, corniest, bad hair days Elvis costume ever, add a white beard and Elvis Claus is on his way to the Parade!

Seems that Santa Claus was booked for the Polar Express and thus forbidden to appear simultaneously at the parade do to an agreement with the Chamber of Commerce... Well never fear, all the way from Memphis, brother Elvis Claus is here! Funny as hell. Parents loved it, so did the kids! Chamber of Commerce Board Members, well maybe not so much but they did admit we'd beat 'em at their own game and we had a good laugh. Lots of kids are now firmly convinced that Elvis and Santa are brothers with Elvis Claus being responsible for all music related gifts. Lots of women feel vindicate in their belief Elvis is not dead, just went to live with family at the North Pole.

Even ended up signing Blue Christmas with the carolers on the town green... twice!

Oh yeah, took trophy for anything on wheels entry too.

Lessons learned..
There's ALWAYS  a good excuse to get the bike out to raise money for a good cause.
You can always out thing beurecrates
You can have a whole lot of fun...

The real treat was the folks in the Harley Shop that wanted their picture taken with me... And then wanted to buy a bike like mine! Had a hard time believing it was 13 years old...

If I'd realized, I'd been down at the toys for tots ride today...
Life is not a journey to the grave with the expectation of arriving in one pretty, well preserved piece but, to be skidded into broadside at full speed, battered, bruised, and thoroughly used up, having poked the grim reaper in the eye shouting "GERONIMO"

Well, it happened alright....
As par as pictures, no luck so far.....
But there were plenty of kids wanting their picture taken so eventually I'll get one.....
The newspaper photographer was organizing the parade so she didn't get any.....
In fact, she had a message on Facebook this morning asking for pictures for the paper!
