Sun finally came out about 10 or 1030 this morning it got up to 62 degrees F light refreshing breeze and I SHOULD have been in the wind as it's turning to crap starting late tonight. When this area of the Sho Me has enough advance warning of a winter storm they get prepared EARLY. And part of their preparation is spraying the roads with liquid calcium chloride. When I went to fill up the cage before this storm hits they were in the process of putting down this slippery mess. So after filling up said cage I came home and got the last of the leaves picked up. Also put up a couple of outdoor Christmas lights. I did manage 208 miles yesterday so THAT will have to tide me over fer a bit. And if getting cold ain't bad enough-calling for some single digits this weekend-they are forecasting 3 to 6 inches of freezing rain AND snow!!  :uglystupid2: If I have NOT made this crystal clear in the past-mark me down as one that hates/despises/do not like/could live better without/hates to see it arrive/has much better things to do than worry about-WINTER.  :tickedoff: And for those of you that sent this from the great white north-come pick it up and take it back-I will entertain the idea of helping with shipping!!  :2funny: RIDE SAFE.

You can keep that stuff down there. ;)  Right now the ground is clear here.  What we did get melted.
Still trying to line up a snow plow. They don't like to return calls. :tickedoff:
Two weeks and I get my new hip and won't be able to blow the snow myself.

I did ride today. Started out at noon temp around 40 . I rode up a mountain road to see if it went all the way to the highway and back home but it turned to gravel about 18 miles from the highway. I didn't want to ride gravel that distance so I turned around and made it back home three hours later. I covered about 80 miles and froze my ass off. Even with a heated vest I was very cold and my feet were too cold to walk easy. And to top it off the helmet I wore was a bit too tight and it gave me a headache. I do think I need a new heated vest as the one I have is ten years old and doesn't seem to get warm enough. The temp is suppose to drop to the high teens tonight. Too damn cold to ride for awhile. Come on spring.

spring - only 4 months away  >:(

I don't mind the cold, at least not yet, but as we age, we do get a tad stiffer and colder due to poor circulation, among other things.

Winter is good for ice fishing and snowmobiling/atving and maybe skiing if so inclined along with sledding.  That's about it that I reckon.

shoveling sucks but is good exercise just like lawnmowing plus this winter my older neighbors both of them asked me and the kids to shovel their driveways paying us 20 bucks per shoveling, not too shabby will give most of the money to my kids as long as they help out some otherwise I keep it all.

Minus 13 right now.  Yesterday it got all the way up to 4 degrees Fahrenheit.  Just a tad to cool to be out fighting the ice on the roads.  :uglystupid2:

In years past I have ridden in cold temps, but not like these temps!

When i'm sitting at my computer I look a little to the left and I see my front lawn and my cage. 21 degrees F and the lawn and the cage(cage is goldish/beigeish)are looking like giant white popsicles.  :crazy2: AND I might add-according to our weather guys and gals-this is JUST starting!!  :-\ When I get up Sunday morning they are calling for 6 as in SIX.  :crazy2: It MIGHT go lower!  :-[ And I reiterate yet again-not ONLY duz winter suck-i'm really starting to despise winter.  :tickedoff: The crawl at the bottom of my T V screen is showing a LOT of schools closed and those that are in are having early outs. Well I have food milk O J soda beer and coffee so I is good to go.  :cooldude: My Phatt Ghurl on the other hand has frozen tears in the lower corner of her headlights.  :'( Gets above freezing and dries out and the salt gets washed away i'll ride. Til then i'll most likely bitch and moan and complain.  :2funny: RIDE SAFE.
