I bought this bag to use on the Rocket III and used it one time.  Turns out that all my touring is done on the Valkyrie Interstate.  I paid $100 for it after searching all over for the best price.  They are going for more than $100 now.  If you will pick it up I want $75.  This thing has more water resistant pockets and zippers than Carter has little liver pills.  That was an old joke that some of you may remember about the liver pills, not the pockets.  :)  It has a VERY wide Velcro band that I wrapped around the backrest on the Rocket and lots of strap attachement points to secure the bag.
Here's a link with pictures etc.

Hmmmm....Carter's Little Liver pills?  Showing our age are we?  ;D How about Doan's Pills....for "distress in the lower tract?" Whatever happened to all those cool remedies?

Thunderbolt

Seems like they were originally in a small green metal tube.  I thought you would remember those old remedies.  Probably something your parents used.  :)

Would it work,,, with this kind of set up?  :coolsmiley:

If you put it on the back seat with the Velcro straps around the drivers backrest facing backwards or put the Velcro around the passenger backrest facing forward.   I would say it is too big in a visual way to put on the little rack on the back but that's just my opinion.  Along with the Velcro it has two straps on the bottom front and 4 on the top all of which are adjustable so you can secure it to the rack on back or wherever the strap would reach.

By the way that is one nice looking bike.  My wife has a 98 Standard the same color as yours.  I had Corbin seats on my 97 Tourer and although they are harder than most other brands they always made me feel like I was sitting "in" the bike not "on" it.  I really liked them.

I've seen guys take a small piece of aluminum and attach it to the luggage rack to have a larger base to set their bag on. Then use the velcro strap to hold it tight to the back rest. Just an option.

Terry,
Speaking of bags. I REALLY liked the shape and size of the bag you had on your Triumph at Jerry & Sherry's. I think you said you got it in Maggie Valley? Do you know the manufacturer or the store? I've been looking and can't find anything quite like it.
If you can't be a good example: be a WARNING!!

The little store that had the bag has since closed, but I'll look inside and see if there is any information in there Doug.

No problem Terry, if you find the mnf. name I'll Google search for it.
I am going to look at this bag today at Cycle Gear in Pinellas Park. Half the price of several comparable bags with great reviews.
