Had a '98 Tourer on fleabay with auction ending this morning at 5:00 AM  A new member (four hours prior) achieves winning bid.  I then get the following email.   Shoowie  what stinks in here?

Also i can only pay through PayPal as i don't have access to my bank account online cause i don't have internet banking but i have my bank account attached to my PayPal account and this was the main reason why i insisted on paying you through PAYPAL cause PAYPAL is the only secure way of purchasing item online that protect both buyer and sellers transacting online to ensure they both have a smooth transaction. So please kindly get back to me immediately in order to proceed with the payment and after the payment has been done, I have a pick up agent will come around to pick it up immediately we have the transaction completed.

And also the pick up company told me that i will have to pay them $1,750 to their bank account, Western Union, for their service to come to you for the pick up of the Bike, and as you know I'm currently not able to go to bank to make the payment and it can't be transfer via PayPal and i told them that the only option which i had gotten is to send the payment to you added with your money for the Item and you can help me in sending the money to them... Please get back to me if this is okay by you and i will send the money as soon as possible. So i will need your PayPal Email Address to send payment immediately and also i need the full address where the Bike will be picked up as the pick up company is requesting for that immediately, also before I send the payment, I will like you confirm back to me that the Bike is ready to move including all the papers...Thanks for the understanding and hope to read back from you so i can make the payment immediately.

I got the exact same message (from at least 10 different email addresses) when I listed my 98 Goldwing on Craigslist....they don't get any scammmier.

When I sold my Interstate last year, I got the exact same email. I sold mine on Craigslist. Bike did NOT sell to an oceanographern or whatever. Told them to blow BTW His dad's birthday was in OCT then

tell him to western union you the money first. No other way. You'll never hear from him again.
Had mine on craiglist and got similar. Also one asking about "final price". When I quoted the listed price he e mailed me back with, "thats reasonable compared to what's on line. I ll take it". And then insisted I get a paypal account.
Told himn no cash only price. Haven't heard from him since.
