when i saw Audi that was enough reading for me...i dont know what it is about Audi's but people who drive them dont see anything else on the road..and now they are going to make helmets? look out folks...

I think that the report said the C3 was "from the land of Audi" (Germany).  Anyway, I have owned one for over 20 months and is an excellent (but not perfect) product.  What I like about it is that it fits my head perfectly, is super quiet which aids in hearing tunes or the CB, the latch snaps the front closed positively and is easy to open, the sun visor is easily operated with a gloved hand, and the chin strap is easily & quickly operated.  I haven't noticed any noise from either of the vents, but I can feel the air circulating.  It is warm in the winter and REALLY WARM in the summer.  I usually wear my old HJC in the summer.  My main complaint with the helmet is that the face shield will not stay in any position other than closed, almost closed, or fully open when going much over 30 mph and a gust of wind will sometimes close it when it is fully open as in summer riding.  Would I buy it again?  Probably, because I can sure appreciate it when hitting the road then the temp is 50 or less and there are numerous beautiful days here in SW Ok during the winter when the temp is just a wee bit chilly.  Is it worth the price?  Probably not if you are a warm weather rider exclusively.  It is not everything that I had hoped for, but over all, I am happy with it.  I think that there are a lot of things in life that turn out that way...Jim

I rode to work this morning (no I'm not in the wrong thread  )...

It was probably still below freezing, I have a Shoei X12, and all the vents were open.

I had to be going 20 or 30 miles per hour to keep the shield
from fogging up, so turns and stop signs were problematic.
Opening the shield cleared it up, but I didn't want the shield open .

Anywho... they talked about having the same problem with the Schuberth...
hard to get around, I guess...

Besides a degree of claustrophobia in any full face helmet, they all fog up on me.  I guess I'm just a heavy breather.

Yeah, I tend to agree - nothings perfect.... and fogging is probably inevitable on some occasions if you put a heavy breathing human into a space no bigger than a goldfish bowl... ye cannae change the laws of physics Jim... or something.

The general conclusion of the review is that its not a bad lid - just could be better with a couple of relatively minor changes ... and its a bit expensive considering...


The great thing about on-line reviews is that they can be changed...so I'll be incorporating things that are coming in over the next few days including you guys comments. All sources will be credited.

I wear my trusty HJC CL-16 for full face duty (crappy or cold weather) and with the colder weather there is a breath box that snaps in to keep from fogging the visor. Works well as long as you don't mind having something almost against your face. I'll have to look, but if they've got something like that for the Schuberth then I may take a look.
