Had a dumbass attack at work last Friday...

I'm with you Hoser, I saw and pulled a lot of people, kids included, out of burning vehicles in my tenure on the CHP.

I think the one that bothered me the most was a car train accident.   They couldn't find the 3 kids who were in the car.

We looked all over and finally found them when the wrecker arrived.    He lifted the car up and the 3 kids had all been burned to death under the hot muffler on the car.    That came damn close to me losing my breakfast.     Never want to see one of those again.

It still makes my stomach churn and that has been almost 50 years ago.

That's enough on this topic for today.

Drove a wrecker in Illinois and drove ambulance in Texas. I've seen things that want to return for no apparent reason and make me cry and sick-AGAIN. And like you R J some of dat chit is from 50+ years ago. L E Os-Firemen-E M TS and wrecker drivers see stuff normal folks will never see. AND if their is any justice SHOULD not see. RIDE SAFE.

And, by the way, if you cut a deer antler in a high speed table saw it can generate a smell which is almost disabling.

I'd heard that but never had a chance to find out for myself.

While I'll not admit anything similar has happened to me, I will say this.   I found that while under the influence of alcoholic beverages, I would frequently regret some things after purported uttering something along the line of, Hold my beer, watch this.   I've found that the answer was to reduce my "spirits" intake to levels that eliminates the majority of  those regretful results.

IAlthough that has nothing to do with the original posting, that's my contribution to this thread and better living for me and those around me.   Be safe out there.
