NDSU Bison football is on their way down to Frisco, TX for a Jan. 4 Div. 1   FCS Championship game.  We have won the last two over Sam Houston State, and are returning to try for 3 straight.

CP and I am leaving here either Dec. 31, or Jan. 1, weather determining.  We are bringing the toyhauler, with the IS hack rig in it.  We are going down to the Gulf Sunday or Monday after the game. Looking to hookup with Red Diamond in Beaumont for a bit. Then work our way east along the coast towards, and into, FL.

Be sure you'll turn the sun on, please!  :cooldude:

Will be getting down there late Thursday.  Will be staying at Hidden Cove Park at The Colony again.  Stayed there last year.  Friday have pep rally, etc, and game Sat.  So, those days are booked.  We plan on heading down to the coast afterwards.

However, we could stay Sunday, and leave Monday.  If there is somewhere to get together for Sunday, Jan. 5, that would be GREAT!

Thanks.

Yep, sure am.  Would love to meet for lunch, but will not be that far east.  Dallas is quite a bit east of me, but not as far as you.  If I lived in Fargo, then I would be going right by you.

We plan on leaving early Jan. 1, Wednesday.  Go to somewhere a little south of Grand Island, NE for Wed. night.  Then, straight south.  Closest to you would be Salina, KS, 113 miles west of you.

Total mileage to Frisco is right at 1200 miles.  Grand Island is about 550 from home, so need to get an hour or so south to be half way.

We hope to get to a campground in Frisco, actually The Colony, before 8 pm Thursday night.  So, schedule is pretty tight!

If it was warm, I would say ride over to Salina for breakfast.  BUT, forecast if for pretty darn cold thursday!

NDSU got its third consecutive National Championship!   35-7 over Towson of MD.

We came on down to the Beaumont area, well below freezing here too!  We left ND to get away from these temps!  What is happening?  Oh yeah, global warming.

Red Diamond came over to see us.  We were going to go riding today, but decided that taking his car was a better idea!  He showed us around the beautiful city of Beaumont and Ft. ARthur.  Then, treated us to a great seafood lunch at Floyd's here in town.  We had a great day.

Thank you, Eli!

Hope you can make the Reunion in Harrison, AR, Eli.  535 miles.  Nice days ride there!

413  miles for those in the Dallas area, if you cannot make Inzane.  Or, take a few extra days, and stop in Harrison on your way back from Inzane.

Enjoyed the day with you and the Ms today Mel. I wanted to have yall over for breakfast in the morning but Wednesdays Ruthie works at the church in the social outreach program. Hope we can get together again before you leave.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

Mel, you still in the area?  Would like to meet up for dinner or ride somewhere....  I have to work, but dinner is possible.

Nah, we went straight down to Beaumont.  The 12 deg Monday Am got us!  LOL.  Been down here having Red Diamond show us around.  We are leaving in the AM, heading east along the coast.  Probably over to just east of New Orleans tomorrow, then on over to FL.

Thank you very much for the invite.  Seems like every time we come down, we drag down the cold with us!  Same last year, along with rain!  LOL

Will have to do it next year, when we come down to see NDSU win its 4th straight National Title!

Stop in Harrison, AR on your way back from Inzane, and ride a few days with the VOAI.  We start getting there the Friday after Inzane ends, the next day.  Would love to have some of you stop for a day or two.

I was hoping it was going to be the SD Blackhills, as we could have stopped on our way to AR.  I do not think I can get away for such an extended period of time in June.  Too much farm work at that time.  Finishing up crop spraying, and getting ready to start haying.

Well, y'all have fun and stay safe on your trip.  I don't know what route we will take on our way home, but if AR is in the plans, we will definitely stop in and visit.
