that's not that great of a price.  No saddlebags, no rear backrest, no windshield, no accessories that I can really see either.

I had my eye on a decked out about same year honda magna red/black pinstriping on tank was on craigslist for around 2700 had all the extras:  windshield, hwy. pegs,  rear backrest, nicer seat setup, and leather saddlebags in mint condition as well. 

That was a sweeter deal yet for one up riding very, very hard to beat. 

I know a dealer locally who have two 1984/85  honda v65 magna's in very good condition one with low miles other with 50K miles both for $1999 each is all.  Those things would spank the new 750cc magnas but I like the looks of both.

My brother has a yellow 95 with just under 10k on it. Fun little bike. He is now looking for an interstate so he can go on longer trips with me. Plus his girlfriend wants a valkyrie after she rode on mine

Looks like the perfect town bike for me.  If I could, I would buy one.  I would not do a thing to it except possibly add a wind shield. Hoser

If single and/or one-up all time riding,  the 90's magna's would be at the top of my list for under 2750 in price.  Nothing used as far as I am concerned in the 2-3 grand range is out there worth considering besides the magna in that price range.   They are a nice, reliable, mid-range power cruiser.  I'd still have my 1984 honda magna if I didn't have kids and a wife telling me to sell it back in 1997.   I even shed a tear when it left my garage for a piddly 1500 bucks back then as well didn't loose a dime on it and am sure the new owner didn't either.   If taken care of,  today in 2013 would still be worth 1500 bucks to someone.

It's a nice bike.  That one is a little over priced in my opinion.

I rode one for a few years and saw both sides of the country (from sea to shining sea) on it.

It will accelerate with a Valkyrie until you start to approach top end.

For a reasonably sized rider (I'm at 185) it will easily manage two up.  Putting a wind screen on one should be against the law.

Just sold mine! Loved it. Probably as fast as the Valk in a quarter mile or darn close. Very nimble as well.

I cant get over willow only weighing 185, I had him figured to be 6'2 - 6'4 and 250 - 275. Kinda shoots the paul sr look down the drain.

Gavin, I'd accept that Carl is only 185, and maybe 5'8ish, but his legend is MUCH bigger.

an older V-65 magna, low 11s some into the high 10's in the 1/4, is the way to go. I rode one once in calif, what a blast.

I'm not, these days, very easily embarassed but I do get uncomfortable.  Paul Teutul is a bigger man than am I.  Due to life's experiences I am just a little bit nicer.
