I may have missed it but I kinda doubt it-WHY haven't Rev. sharpton and jessee jackson spoken out against this despicable practice?? Last I heard from jackson he was DEMANDING a meet with A & E over the Robertson thing. There have been a few black community leaders that have spoken out against this but where are the ones with the national following?? This has been the case since I moved here in 93.

funny!!  I'm from Chicago, my wife is from this area (Chippewa valley area of Wisconsin).  I've been trying to move back home, or anywhere south for the last 20 years.......   I'm waiting for two things, my youngest to turn 18 and move out, or for her to file divorce papers.  the other option is to ride my cycle fast and recklessly and get killed in a firey death!!  I don't "hate" this area, I just don't "belong" here, I'm "different", i've been told I don't belong, my kids have been told the same thing.  so, I guess I really don't.....

Seems we had that discussion a little while back and some of our resident liberals failed miserably at making an argument about affirmative action not being reverse discrimination. I was a victim,and, I'm a white middle class male. Well, actually now thanks to our present false economy I'm a white lower middle class male, probably same as many of us.

I have never really understood the concept of a "Hate Crime"

A crime is a crime.

If you beat someone up because you hate them, you are punished more severely.

So if you beat someone up because you like them, do you get a gift card?

If society wants a greater punishment for someone because the motive for an attack was racist, then make that punishment the standard for all attacks.

You don't remember the wonderful days/years of AA ? You were never affected by it ? Well, you're lucky then.
A friend and I took the NYS state police exams. He scored 94 and I a 93. Neither of us got the job because if a minority took the test and was able to score a 70 they got hired, which is exactly what happened. Thats what Affirmative Action was all about. In other words, reverse discrimination.
Both of us ended up fine, in fact, probably ended up better off in the long run. But, that was just plain wrong. In those instances of the state police it turned out to be a train wreck and they ended up stopping that program and increasing the requirements to include a college degree.

Its surprising the folks that refuse to believe that, and, that includes many of our educators. The last I knew we had gone from first [about 30 years ago] to 23rd out of the 27 top industrialized nations. I learned from that, I didn't know there were 27 industrialized nations ! It all stems from secular progressivism, after-al, competition is no good, you can't have anyone feeling bad about themselves. This has to be a feel good country. A feel good country all the way to 2nd class world status. I hope I live long enough to see us start to fix ourselves.
