Great story Daniel.  Good for thought and grins for sure.  

I have been night peeing more often with age (and since I pay little attention to my health, I always drink a lot of water).

I have it down to a science.  My travel from bed to throne is not far, and done in the pitch dark.  I do not count steps but with 20 years here, it is remote control.  I do not like turning on lights and losing night vision, and with no lights nothing stimulates the brain to start thinking so I can go right back to sleep almost immediately.  And on these trips, I always sit, since there is no light to aim.  A little urine splashed around doesn't particularly bother me at all, but I find sitting and relaxing, allows me a complete empty, unlike standing.  Two trips is the norm, but it can be four.... so I like my system.

But after reading your story, I am thinking of turning the lights on and standing so I can do battle with the shower curtain and towels, and pee up my wall.  

I am reminded of Don Quixote.
