so, a federal judge has deemed that the gun restriction laws of the city of Chicago are unconstitutional.  this has started the first steps for the common person to FINALY defend "themselves" from the criminal. 

many people think that the police are there to protect them.  which they are.  but, there are so many criminals, and too few police.  in that situation, wouldn't you want to be able to protect yourself? 

I had a person break into our business one night to rob me.  I had a gun, I was prepared, I defended myself that night.  that robber left with nothing, I kept everything that was mine.  there were NO shots fired.  the only person that was in danger was the guy breaking in.  had I not had my ruger .22 caliber pistol that night, I probably would have been robbed.

now, I never EVER used that gun to attempt a robbery, I never EVER used that gun to assault anyone, it was locked in a case when not being used for target practice, and the night I did need it, I was able to have it available. 

when you look at a gun as being the cause of crime, think about the crime it also prevents.

Gun control freaks want us to think that if law abiding citizens get guns, they will go nuts, and start shooting people in arguments.  Just does not happen, hardly ever.

Lots of times when a gun stops a crime, it is NEVER REPORTED.  Too much hassle. And risk of being charged by the cops.

Want to bet that Chicago comes out with another VERY restrictive gun law, and it will again take YEARS to go thru the courts?  IL has done it several times.

And unfortunately much like the insanity that's happened in DC since their handgun ban was struck down, I fully expect the rulers of Chicago to do everything they can to still make things as onerous as possible for law abiding citizens (And thus make things as easy as possible on criminals... )
