I have been reading a lot on here about making the Valkyrie into a Super Valk, I know this has been done to death but I think each person that does this has a whole new look about his or her Valkyrie. I ride solo must of the time because I am retired and Cathy still works full time, oh and before anyone says anything it's her choice to keep working. She has kids in Florida and Denver so she likes to fly out for a week at a time and see them which leaves me to wonder around and ride with people like the Wild bunch last year on the meet in the middle ride. That was one of best rides I have ever done, (Thanks Joe). Anyway I removed the trunk and ordered a new stock solo seat from a 2003 Valkyrie standard, I like the stock seat from the 99 to 2001 Interstate and the standard seat is made the same way only shorter    There is serveral different ways to cut the trunk rails and to make it a quick install and I already did the wires before I took it off. So here it is with the stock Interstate seat while I wait on my new stock seat to come. also I am having a leather bib made for the rear fender with magnets for easy on and off.

Looking sexy floyd. I prefer the look without the trunk but my wife likes the speakers and big backrest the trunk provides. Maybe my next bike will be another interstate without the trunk for a solo bike.

Keep in mind the Std. or Tourer seat is shaped different in front at the nose because the tanks are different. They will work, just takes some tinkering on your part.

I think you will like not only the look of the Supervalk but also the handling without the 50 or so pounds from the trunk.
I also ride solo since my wife refuses to ride, I converted my IS as soon as I got it and I am pleased with the outcome.

Thanks Gavin, give me your address and I will be over Monday. I want the one on your bike now and you can keep the passenger seat. I hope one of those old stock seats that you were gonna give me fits your ass because those seats kill mine  remember you said I could have one.

No no. I have a couple tourer seats in the attic and a couple stock interstate seats. Im seat rich. Im keeping my ultimate and corbin seats.
