Thank you for posting this, Lug Nut. I think it's good for everyone to have an occasional reminder that our veterans are our heroes and our duty to them is to take care of and mend to the greatest degree possible those who come back broken, to care for the families of those who don't come back, and to ensure that those who do come back and disappear back into the fold of society receive their full due in health care, retirement benefits, education assistance, and anything else they have earned.

And to never, never forget that to oppose a war considered unjust is patriotism too, but to oppose the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines who go into harms way is an unconscionable misdirection of that opposition on the part of the individual.

Failure to look after and provide for the returning Vets, regardless of the condition in which they return or the expense of making them as close to whole as possible, is an unconscionable failure of society's duty to those who fight on our behalf-whether one agrees with the cause or not.

That is what I've tried to teach my children and I believe they are taking those lessons to heart.

Our children must be taught many things, both at school and at home.  Since the schools no longer teach anything except "watered down" history, no longer say the Pledge of Allegiance, no longer sing The Star Spangled Banner, and no longer salute the raising of The United States Flag.  It is incumbent upon the parents & grandparents to teach the children of this nation what "Patriotism" is all about or to demand that these things are again returned to the schools.  Most children of today have no idea of what has gone on before their time and no appreciation of the sacrifices of millions of Americans of the past who have secured all of the rights and privileges that they enjoy today. I did not watch this video this morning.  I had seen it before and did not want to have to fight all those gnats away again...Jim
